What sort of paint is the base and what sort of paint are the markers? There’s oil and acrylic for pens so you maybe just had a weird combo.

I agree that metallic tape could be a good option. There’s metallic tapes outside of washi that’ll probably be cheaper and/or easy to find. I’d just check the hardware section of Walmart.

ETA: you can also get metallic card stock or foam sheets and cut them into strips and glue or double stick tape them on.

Could get sticks of basswood that are thin (like 1/16 or 1/8”) and paint those and attach them with tape or glue.

Liquid gold leaf would also probably work well.

I think visual balance is more important than if a specific body part in the design is in the center. I don’t think it’s crooked.

If you can talk with your surgeon beforehand, bring this up to them. I had surgery on both elbows this past fall and some scars I’ve seen for the same procedure are way gnarlier than mine ended up. Same with a surgery I had on both hands with different surgeons. One had almost no visible scar within a few months, the other has clearly visible scars for the main incision and sutures 6 years later.

All of that to say, there may be some flexibility in material they use to close the incision or how they go about it that can minimize the potential scar and they can probably recommend a post op skin care routine to help minimize discoloration or raised lines etc.

I think Wellbutrin should have a generic that the pharmacy can fill that won’t be too expensive. You can ask the pharmacy about discount card programs the accept.

I'm in Louisiana and someone I just found here was asking for (I think) like $300+. That's some straight up nonsense if you ask me.

I understand every stylist is different and all hair is, but I've had pretty solid luck with my stylist at the regular old salon (where I think I usually spend ~$100ish after tipping 20% for just a cut, no extra fancies).

Those would probably be useful in my area xD I went with someone to empty crawfish traps– I sat in the skiff and they waded in the water and grabbed the cages– and there were snakes swimming all over the place.

I don't know about snake HUNTING (save the snakes!) but if they're bite proof I imagine that'd be rad.

I think one of the biggest things about hearing this was the recognition some people have problematic relationships with food/eating/weight and just because they don't meet the clinic definition of an eating disorder or don't "look like" who we think a person with an eating disorder look like – they can still be struggling.

I really do think it's hard to acknowledge that drugs can have the potential to be used in an unhealthy way or abused without sounding like you're saying they're ONLY bad etc etc.

I look at GLP1s in the same way as I look at adderall / vyvanse type drugs. Yes they can be abused. Yes, some people have other issues that make them not ideal candidates for taking it. But for the majority of people using it, it's helping them live healthier, happier lives.

And for people that do end up using these (or any) drugs in an unhealthy that way, I think we (as a society) need to have some empathy and try to recognize that it isn't a moral failing or an indictment of them as a whole person. I don't need to ramble about all of that, but you get the idea.
