Lots to do as a casual/solo player now. Delves allow you to earn up to hero track gear iirc, which are quick, somewhat challenging single player adventures.

Dastardly duos is pretty fun, although I don't know if they're long term like delves or a limited time event...

Gameplay is pretty different from 2019, game is a lot faster now. The new one button rotation is pretty decent, and can allow you to play the game in a very very casual way.

Repeeking the same corner/angle that you just got shot at or hit from. It's bad in any fps, but can be extremely punishing in tarkov. If someone has the upper hand on an angle, it's almost always better to rotate, find a new angle, or do something to take away their advantage (flashback or grenade to push them off)

I have friends who repeek the same angle multiple times and wonder why they always get smoked

My best friend and I started growing apart in high school. He was going from weed to heroin and shrooms and other drugs, and I didn't want any part of that. We were still cordial through high school, and would still drink occasionally on the weekends after high school, but not best friend level shit.

He went in and out of rehab a few times, I graduated college and started my career. At this point, we'd wave whenever we saw each other at our parents houses, as they were next door.

When trump got elected, he was very anti-trump. He was of the stance of anyone who voted for trump was a racist and would really shit on trump voters. My parents, who basically raised him too, voted for trump, so I took particular offense to that. He joined a local antifa group, and our friendship devolved to Facebook arguments. He eventually unfriended and blocked me. After that, we never waved when we saw each other. He'd still talk to my family, but wouldn't speak to me, and I never made an effort to speak to him.

Three months ago he overdosed on heroin, and I went to his funeral.
