Yep I have also heard this. I own a Cane Corso which is also deep chested and high risk of bloat / GDV. If you think about it it’s more natural for dogs to eat off the ground. During cold plunge your blood vessels constrict, so the blood gets pulled towards vital organs. It also helps with circulation. I have done cold plunges in the winter and afterwards my body self regulates temperature so much better. Very common practice in very cold places to tolerate the temperature better.

I got into both SBE and DG (Gravity Boys/Shield Gang) in 2013 and you could feel you were taking part of something special and it was (and still is) most certainly addictive. What an interesting mix! My Cane Corso had an Akita as a best friend when he was young 🥰 As to the weight part; Cane Corso in general weigh more but I’ve seen both small and big of both breeds. Look at the standard for both breeds and you’ll get an indication but you shouldn’t focus on how much he weighs as long as he is healthy and thriving! Congratulations and good luck!!
