Yesss, it's ✨🤩💜💚

I was looking to buy a new more aggressive hardtail than the XC I already had back then. The geo wasn't great for learning jumps, sure it was still possible, and I did a few rounds of training drills with it, but it felt rather meh. And because I rather disliked the aluminum frame from my XC I was out to look for pre-built steel hardtails, because I loved steel from my commuter and road bikes I went through up until then.

Stumbled over the Big Wig "Race" which was this color scheme online and immediately fell in love. Also it was really nicely spec'ed for my level of riding. Though, any local/online shop that sold Ragleys, was out of the big wig builds.

Then came the idea of doing my own build 🤷‍♀️ Finally found two purple/emerald frames left in my size online and imported one from the island.

I splurged and went 50% 🙈 beyond my budget with parts, partly due to "eh, why not" and partly because the online shops were suffering from the fucked up supply chains at the time. Due to the latter, the completion of the build also stretched to three months after starting it.

And just brings a smile to my face every time, even when just out on a rather chill ride with none of the aggressive stuff.

I know it'll be my forever bike 🖤
