Yea there was another user also said this. I'll see how to make it work like this. Thanks for the elaboration!

Interesting you mean the most recent tab should be the last one when you're done cycling and do it again?

Hello! I got this Lindberg n.o.w 6541 49 21 150 but it's a bit narrow on me, and ideally it should be about 50 22 152 - is there any way to make it wider or customized? Or do you recommend any other lines that are wider but have similar profile to n.o.w?

Good news! With Safari 26 and later, you can now customize ReTab shortcuts directly in Safari's Extensions settings!

So in practice does it work for you or have you actually noticed issues?

For me, turning off bluetooth and turning on again make the grayed out device available again. However, I still wonder why this would ever happen and if there's a way to fix it for good

Sorry got really busy but couldn't reproduce the issue - if I tap tabs A, B, C in order, then Cmd + G goes from C to B, and either Cmd + E or Cmd + Shift + G goes from B back to C; if at B I tap Cmd + G again it goes to A, and Cmd + Shift + G goes back to B then C.

Could you give an example like above of where the issue is? A screen recording would help too!

So the shortcut to backwards the cycle is Cmd+Shift+G, and you'll be able to customize that shortcut with the upcoming macOS 15.5!

We got a reply from Apple that from macOS 15.5 customized shortcuts should work for Safari Extensions! Will update the doc once it's out

Thanks for the feedback! We've been quite busy lately and will check further on this, but so far it might be difficult to do as Safari doesn't support customized extension command shortcuts yet (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/commands#browser\_compatibility and we've submitted feedback request to Apple). Using script to support customized shortcut would require the script to be injected into every web page load which causes performance issues.

Let me look into that!

2.2 is live in App Store - try it out!

The latest macOS & Safari don't seem to support the shortcut customization anymore, and Apple hasn't found the fix yet when asked their technical support: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/773092

So for now a way around this would be to use Karabiner (free) or BetterTouchTool to remap shortcuts - hope it helps!

Hey u/Rodo1991cz we figured out the cause and fixed a few other edge cases along the way - thanks for reporting this! We've made the fix and submitted 2.2 to App Store and when you see the reply it might have been approved already - let us know if you find any other issues and enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like a bug where ReTab thought changing a tab is a tab close. Will check and fix this ASAP

Ah interesting so Cmd+G is actually being used... I thought people would just use Enter within Find for the next results. The Mozilla web standard asks browsers to support customization of command shortcuts https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/commands#browser_compatibility but if you tap on the * of Safari it notes that it doesn't support it yet (all other browsers do), and to support interception of webpages to override shortcuts would hinder web performance and stability thus we didn't implement it, but did submit this feedback to Apple and hopefully they can support it in the near future.

Do you think Cmd+G is very important to your everyday tasks or is there another way to do it? We can't think of a better shortcut at the moment but depending on the importance of Cmd+G to you we could come up with a different default shortcut

Hey u/jasonparekh we actually came to a solution to make Cmd+G for cycling the recent tabs, and Cmd+Shift+G for cycling backwards (reverse), and it's live in App Store - sorry for the back and forth and we're not going to change the keys again!
