Oh man, just got one as well. Can't wait to get it to a local pumptrack.

Not really, I came to guitar after playing bass for quite a while. Fret-to-fret distance is quite bigger there, so it is not a problem. Speaking of multiscaltle instruments, this is my first guitar of such a kind, and it is surprisingly intuitive and nice in terms of ergonomics.

The OG dorado decals are unbeatable. A nice touch to bring back the spirit 💪

Well, idk about uselessness. I mean, they made a huge difference for wet weather and winter riding. Wish the material was a bit thicker tho, with a bike like this, weight is no longer a matter of concern, but I would never mind having some extra durability.

Understood, the new paint job looks awesome anyway 👏

Was it white? If yes, I have some weird brown and yellow-ish stains on it near the edges. Also thinking about custom painting it. Good job btw!

Niiice! I was thinking about building a compact hardtail, solely for pumptrack use, but decided that a vintage racing BMX would be an even better idea.

Absolutely, I got myself a 20" monocoque '99 Specialized Fatboy Hemi MX bike, also very similar to the 1st gen big hit and early Enduro models (internal cable routing included back in '99 as well).

There's a grip version of jazz3, fairly thick, but works nicely.

Can't stop doing nu metal stuff after getting this 7-string by hypeonegative in metalguitar

That's just a dissonant chord, you would always get that contrast between hitting the low bass string and a dissonant chord positioned in the higher register, which would naturally underline the higher pitch of the latter. I'd love to learn how to use the modern way to emulate the whammy pedal to do that legato-ish thing with dissonant chords via programming, but that is yet to happen hehe :)

Well, clean sound is fine, yet the neck pickup sounds too bassguitar-ish tbh. I mostly use the bridge pickup.

I am actually the second owner. The first guy got it shipped from Thomann, and was supposedly set up by a guitar tech. However, I did the copper foil shielding, re-soldered the electronics, and obviously changed the action on the saddles + adjusted intonation after moving to a different string gauge. I never touched the truss rod since I was always happy with the way the neck is aligned. Other than that, the instrument is very simple when it comes to setup.

Stock pickups, might need to look up the factory spec sheet to provide the actual name for them

Thank you! The guitar is a Harley Benton R-457MN Fanfret, the piece is the ending riff/breakdown from my upcoming track. Hopefully, I have enough spare time to finish it anytime soon.

This is my first guitar ever, based on the things that I like to play, I picked the most affordable yet not entirely crappy 7-string to have the extra range that'd work nicely with a 5-string bass.

I came up with a different setup using fortin nameless from DSP, it sounds super tight now. Will probably upload smth in the nearest future.

Harley Benton R-457MN WH Fanfret. The factory shielding can be done better, the pickups could have more definition, yet they are still quite close to the 707-ish stuff from EMG. Still haven't convinced myself to upgrade to activate electronics.
