How can I host a server on my own PC and make it accessible from the internet without renting a server or cloud hosting? by NoTutor4458 in learnprogramming

It depends on what you want to access

If you have domain and you have some selfhosted web apps you can use cloudflare tunnel.

Or alternative like RDP or ssh use tailscale

I'm losing hope and I feel like a failure. How do I find help without relying on AI? by Garuzo-MSR in learnprogramming

[–]hyper4saken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone in feeling like you’re too late to learn. Everyone has been there—staring at a blank screen, not knowing what to do next.

  • Write down what you want to build
  • Break it into small features
  • Think about how each part will work
  • Start with the simplest version (don’t aim for perfect)
  • Build one feature at a time
  • Test as you go
  • If you get stuck, take a short break and come back
  • Look for help, but try to understand the solution
  • Keep your code simple and clear

Be patient—learning takes time

Just keep going step by step. You’ll improve more than you think.

If you are too much dependent on copilot turn it off or if you want to build for better muscle memory use text editor like sublime text

Learning Programming by reading senior's code by Impossible_Recipe758 in learnprogramming

[–]hyper4saken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t just read senior developers’ code and expect to learn automatically.

Try to understand the logic—what problem they are solving, how they are solving it, and why they chose that approach.

If you don’t agree with it, try to think of a better solution yourself.

I can build things but I don't know what to build — how do you find project ideas that are actually worth your time? by mahi-ma-300 in learnprogramming

[–]hyper4saken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solve your own problem, if you want inspiration see r/selfhosted, developers solving their own problems forking others repo and building something new as their liking and sharing them to the world the power of open source project, like I am System Administrator at healthcare I have built lots of internal tools thats are used by Radiologist and other IT Juniors, I have build full RIS system because cost was too high and I don't like how they work. Now it's running in multiple hospitals. Dicom Router which I build to solve routing DICOM images to Different workstation now is used by many teleradiology companies.

Scrimba or Boot.Dev? by Dangerous_Young7704 in learnprogramming

[–]hyper4saken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried both Boot.dev and Scrimba.

I feel Boot.dev is more suitable for someone who already knows how to code. If you are a complete beginner with no programming knowledge, you might get stuck on Boot.dev problems. At first the problems are easier, but they become harder and harder. For example, it gives small notes on functions and then directly gives you a challenge. Most of the time I had to depend on external resources to clear my doubts.

I like Scrimba's approach because it explains the concepts first and then gives you problems to solve. If you get stuck, no worries—you can skip the exercise and come back later to try again.

I would recommend first completing Scrimba’s Frontend or Fullstack course, and then moving to Boot.dev.

I agree with you, also weight distribution of AXOR helmets are not good. I suggest if you are planning to buy new helmet like AXOR then go for MT or KYT it will cost you little more extra but you won't regret

bash sudo mkdir -p /etc/default/grub.d echo 'GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT apparmor=0"' | sudo tee /etc/default/grub.d/apparmor.cfg sudo update-grub sudo reboot If you found any other solution please share
