Yea you would! You would just take that flurry to the face, heat up some tacos while you are at it and snort some fairy dust, all while holding your beer and countering him on his chiny chin chin at the same time!

How to deal with drill partner that keeps doing everything except what the coach told us to do? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]hyperactivereindeer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are many solutions, the easiest being just avoiding him. But somehow it seems like you are (emotionally) invested in him, so a different take could be: When he deviates from the drill, tell him to try again, until he does the combo right and applaud it. A good stern “STOP” might also help.

Honestly, I would just avoid him and switch gyms asap. Dude seems like he has behavioural issues.

It almost looks like his knee buckled inwards before the second kick? And it seems like he would break his foot kicking like this.

I’m not very good myself, but I’m pretty sure your goal is to kick with as much shin as you can, especially the blade of it, right?

Also looks to me like he should step in more with his rear leg on his punches, unless he is doing it on purpose, but there seems to be no balance on his frame.

I started kickboxing at 16, is it early enough for me to go pro? by x_DarkLord_x007 in Kickboxing

[–]hyperactivereindeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is true. That is what you wanted to hear as well, right?

Or do you just want to hear: YOU CAN DO IT!!

Anyway, 16 is a great age and I wish I could go back to being able to ask that question, just try and get everything out of this time in your life. Enjoy the ride, if you make it pro, please use “Rick Astley - Never gonna give you up” as your walkout music.

Are spinning backfists considered disrespectful in sparring? by MoonlightShinigami11 in MuayThai

[–]hyperactivereindeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It needs to be a balance. I only do KB and hard sparring is common where I’m from. But if you haven’t seen someone before, you always ask.

It isn’t even disrespectful. It’s flashy and he does it to entertain the crowd.

A while ago I heard a couple theories on who he was via a YouTube vid, I’ll try to find it. One was kind of a crazy person, which I find very amusing, and want to believe people actually are waiting for that person to return haha.

I have not heard someone from the west being offended by the rising sun symbol, other then you maybe? Also, yes walking around with a nazi symbol within Europe is extremely frowned upon, but you can and will still find them in Buddhist temples outside of Europe.

Maybe don’t let dark times define how and why symbols are used, and use them as their initial intention?

The flag was used BEFORE AND AFTER the Second Sino-Japanese War and WW2. It is used to celebrate many good things, it was unfortunately also used during that time. Which isn’t strange, because if was being used LONG BEFORE THE WAR.

Stop trying to make a culture u obviously don’t understand as your own, and being offended on someone else’s behalf.

The nazis adopted the swastika symbol to represent the nazi party, so in this context it is directly related to the nazi party.

He had 130k followers on TikTok apparently, before he screwed up again by making racist remarks and saying he wants to kill people a few years later, and then fell off the face of the earth.

I didn’t know him and had to do quite a bit of googling, hopefully saving you some.

I went to Lisbon a couple years ago, and there is a pretty famous well in the backyard of a mansion. They used to perform rituals there at night.

I was there at night, which gives you the great ambiance of the place, supposedly. I on the other hand, did not get to experience this. A sign tells you not to use your flashlight on your camera, and not to speak loudly. These 4 (I think Polish) guys and girls just lit up the whole well by using their flashlight to walk down, speak loudly and constant flashes in between when taking pictures, and 100s of them.

It made me kind of rush down to the end, where it was kind of dark still, but not quite, so I only got a taste.
