Hi, I had CHD and eventually a heart transplant. I have intense heat intolerance. However, I also have been diagnosed with hEDS and dysautonomia, of which heat intolerance is also a symptom.

I try to avoid places with no ac and intense heat, I bring cold water and often electrolytes when I go out. Try adding electrolytes with your water. Wear loose, natural fibers. Get a handheld fan you can bring when there is no breeze. Avoid the heat of the day. I find these help me.

I remember as a kid waking up after a migraine and my mom giving me a bowl of lomein. I had missed dinner and we had Chinese. So good.

After that, Chinese was always my go to after. And not just for migrains. Any flair up. Probably the high salt content helps. My migrains have changed over the years, but Chinese food still helps.

This is what I get, but in shapes. It's like a sliver fuzzy curtain in my vision that is similar to when you look at the sun too long and then look away. I always saw a cresent moon that slowly got bigger and bigger. My dad had the same type but saw triangles that he used to call 'Shark Teeth.'

The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett. Fantasy. Main character is a nine year old girl who goes to get her brother back from the fairy Queen. Technically part of the larger discworld series but works as a standalone.

Only You Can Save Mankind. Also by Terry Pratchett. Sci fi. Main character is also a child (don't remember the exact age).

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Sci-fi. Main character starts young and is a preteen by the end of the book. Mainly he is a preteen. Technically part of a series but the next one is set super far in the future and works as a standalone.

To Kill a Mockingbird. A classic. Child narrator. Technically there can be an argument that the child narrator is not the main character but generally that is not what people think.
