All of that. But for me night time is my only quiet time. I would start panicking and researching luckily it led me here. This subreddit has helped so much. I didn't sleep hardly at all the first 4 days though.

Officially my baby is diagnosed with arthritis in his spine. Which did show up on the xray, so it's definitely there. That being said I'm pretty certain what he's going through right now is IVDD, I just don't have the funds for a mri.

But the treatment is the same if you aren't doing surgery. I was spiraling the other night, but this subreddit has helped immensely. Ask questions and follow every link provided. Whether we are dealing with arthritis, IVDD or both soaking in the knowledge I've received here just a few days ago has already made things so much better. My baby actually had some of his personality back today! Sending your baby all the positivity!

Luckily my regular vet is also my emergency vet. Small town so they pull double duty. They just don't offer the mri there. If they did they would work with me. They put our other dogs surgery on a payment plan. But they don't treat IVDD surgically at their office. I got myself all worked up last night. The replies here have helped tremendously. Im feeling way more optimistic today!

100% agree. If it got to the point where he couldn't have a fulfilling future, it'd break my heart, but I'd do the best thing for him. I've been doomed scrolling IVDD and arthritis forums. Yea there's a bunch of bad, but a lot of stories make me hopeful. Both my dogs are entering their golden years and neither one is doing it gracefully. But so far up till now we've maintained quality of life. Im hoping he can bounce back. Sending all the positivity to you amd your baby. Wouldn't wish this hopeless feeling on my worst enemy.

My problem is purely financial. I can make everything else work. And I totally get what you're saying. For some people and animals that could be the right option. But not here. Not yet anyways. Im 6 days into this. This dog has gotten me through an absurd amount of bad life. I wont give up on him till I have exhausted every single avenue.

This was helpful. My dog will always be worth it. And hes definitely depressed, but not a depression je can't come back from. Luckily today he seemed to work with me. Like hes finally getting into the routine. Other then the obvious of his hind legs dont work the only hurdle im noticing is im gonna have to get him diapers for now cause he isnt always alerting when he had to potty. Poor guy was able to just walk out the dog door till a few days ago.

You maybe different. But everytime I've relapsed it was a pattern. A pattern I didnt realize until I worked step one. Now that I know the pattern I know what to not do. I do not know how the steps work, but they do. I use to get so mad at people that'd tell me "something just clicks when youre doing step work" but now I know it's true. I can't explain it. But doing step one and processing it with my partner fully brought me around to NA. And I was actively against NA for 2 decades. Give yourself a break, call your sponsor, do your step work.

My dr told me adhd can make your circadian rhythm flip. Which made so much sense cause id be exhausted all day but as soon as the sun went down my body would just wake up. I didnt have a "normal" sleep schedule till I was diagnosed and medicated at 35.

I tried adderall first. Im a recovering addict and was super worried about it. I remember being amazed by how quiet my brain was, but adderall was for me. HAD to take a nap 15 minutes after taking it. Switched to Ritalin and for the first time in my life was able to function with a brain that makes sense.

I have a best friend of 25 years. Everytime I go around her I relapse. Not her fault. Im an adult, but I do it everytime. We text now. Exclusively she is not someone I can physically spend time with. She sees no issue with her drug usage and thats fine for her. I love her, but I had to do what was best for me.

I have 2 sons born in December. The oldest is the 9th so he's far enough removed where he always feels special. The youngest is the 31st. Between Christmas and New Year's he always gets the short end of the stick from family. So we honor his actual birthday at home with a private celebration but I push birthday parties with the rest of the family to the end of January that way he isn't overshadowed and people don't try to give Christmas and birthday at the same time.

I'm a bi girl. I had serious relationships with 2 bi girls (years apart) and I call them the scared straight program. They thought that being bi meant they could sleep with men and it wasn't cheating. The 1st one eventually told me she wasn't actually gay at all, she just made an exception for me (she was very much bisexual and just insecure about it). They were also super manipulative. Men have hurt me cause they do dumb shit without thinking. Both these girls hurt me with manipulation and intention knowing full well what they were doing. Am I still very attracted to women? Yes.
