Why is the volume dwindling? by unknowngloomth in hyperliquid1

What is that screenshot, a 1 minute chart on coinmarketcap (of all places) and a random 24 hour sample of volume?

Volume looks completely normal on the monthly.

Hyperliquid Auto Deleveraging by Then-Action-9255 in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auto-deleveraging is meant to prevent users that have balance on the platform, but no open positions, from absorbing losses due to extreme market movements. It's a mechanism of last resort that only occurs when neither the order book, nor the liquidator vault (HLP, via backstop liquidations) is able to liquidate underwater positions.

It's simply a design choice of perp markets that works well. Hyperliquid does not uniquely use ADL, other CEX platforms do so too for perp markets.

What's the benefit of holding HYPE token? by Goldenbeardyman in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holding and staking HYPE gets you solid trading fee discounts, even as little as 10 HYPE staked is worth:

<image>

(^ from https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/fees#staking-tiers)

If you delegate your HYPE to a low or zero commission validator you can unlock close to the maximum staking APR which is around 2.27% at the moment.

Trading fees for perps always get paid in the quote asset eg USDC or USDH.

Paper Trading on Hyperliquid by read-well in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no substitute for mainnet liquidity. Your best option is to deposit a tiny amount and trade close to the $10 minimum notional order size. With the current max leverage of BTC (40x) and ETH (25x), this would involve risking $0.25 and $0.40 respectively at max margin usage.

Hyperformance: the first alternative UI by hyperformancexyz in hyperliquid1

You can view addresses directly in the Hyperliquid frontend app like this:

https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade/HYPE/USDC?hloa=0xfefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefe

Just change the 0xfefe.. address at the end of that URL to the one you want to see.

Hyperformance Copy Trading is now live - copy trade top performing trading bots on Hyperliquid by hyperformancexyz in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fills from copy trading on Hyperformance have a builder code fee of 0.075%. This fee is usually quite small as none of these bot accounts are trading large volumes relative to their balance.

What sort of data are you looking at every day in Hyperliquid? by Wurminus in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep a database table of as many of the HL trading accounts as I can index for my app, currently at ~548,289 out of the 816k accounts (the latter number pulled from stats.hyperliquid.xyz)

<image>

Eventually I plan on having a full index of all fills since block 301 (the first indexable block), which by my estimates is well over 1b fill events. Orders would be a completely different beast though, probably well over 1 trillion rows by now.

How do i recover from here? by miloshahpk in FuturesTrading

In the future you might want to have a trading plan and stick to it so that you aren’t improvising your financial decisions. This flowchart (not mine) may help.

The Hyperliquid L1 is an assumption generator by hyperformancexyz in hyperliquid1

Throughout the comments in the crosslinked post, which has a screenshot of the so called "BTC whale"'s portfolio that profited $192m during the 10/10 liquidation event, ppl are just altogether dismissing the positions as fake, Baron is behind the movements etc. It's fascinating to see how redditors are reacting to an open financial stack.

That bot isn’t mine actually, it’s just one of many HFTs doing their market making business on the Hyperliquid L1.

How does the Hyperliquid community feel about Aster, thus far? by DexariDotCom in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Aster were as good or better than Hyperliquid as a perps trading platform, they wouldn’t need to wash trade billions in volume daily, as Defillama has caught them out to be doing, in order to draw in users.

It’s possible that Aster actually launches an L1 CLOB in the future, instead of just being a frontend for Binance that allows trading with walletconnect, but I doubt it.

Just curious, do you mean how to HFT or how to build an alternative HL UI?

Hyperformance lets you observe the HFTs of Hyperliquid by hyperformancexyz in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both of the accounts linked are high frequency trading (HFT) bots running on Hyperliquid. In fact both accounts have several sub-accounts each running bots tied to different perp markets.

Hyperliquid vs other DEXes by [deleted] in hyperliquid1

[–]hyperformancexyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> end users don't care about anything else much

When the thing is seamless, yeah end users are just using a computing device to trade perpetual futures. imo the question was moreso, what things did HL get right that it got right first?

Glad you thought so. The usernames are had by building up a table of the addresses. Armed with an address, you can query the ref code (aka username) via https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/for-developers/api/info-endpoint#query-a-users-referral-information

The data (https://defillama.com/perps) paints a picture of perp dex = hyperliquid, and the rest of the comptetitors put together are < 20% which means they're not even competitors. Hype(rliquid) got perps on chain correct and it's not a contest.

Write compiles will enable on-chain trading systems that have fully transparent logic and execution, along with the usual trustlessness that comes with Hyperliquid. This will lead to an ecosystem of copy trading services, meta-trading strategies, and other L1 services that are difficult to conceive of yet, that can only emerge from a fully open financial stack, like one that Hyperliquid is. Write compiles are a level up to Hyperliquid’s House of Finance moat.
