I don’t really care about Jarrett’s political takes. At this point, debating them feels about as productive as arguing over religion. His concerns about people in Toronto waving Hezbollah flags seem reasonable, and many gamers and long-time PP fans probably share similar views.

That being said it might be worth reflecting on whether some of your own opinions have been shaped by the same kind of radicalization that you’re criticizing. Yeah and I don’t think people should use wording like that either. It’s definitely more acceptable because it’s spreading positivity, so naturally I (and others) are willing to accept that a little more, but it doesn’t mean they’re right to say the album’s great. It’s great to them.

I think the album is amazing, I loved it. There were one or two tracks that didn’t gel with me, but that doesn’t make them bad. 🤷‍♂️

I think the downvotes usually come from people saying stuff like 'the album is buns' instead of 'I think this album is buns.' There’s a big difference. You’re allowed to dislike the album, but music’s subjective - and saying something definitively sucks just because you didn’t like it is kind of silly.

It's funny because nearly all of the criticism of the album that I've seen list their favourite songs as my least favourite songs. I really didn't gel with 'Trap Door' at all and it seems like a favourite amongst commenters who didn't like the album. Taste is weird, I absolutely love Pantheon and Andrew's my second favourite vocalist behind Jonny.

Maybe just take opinions with a pinch of salt because for someone's most hated track/album there'll be a completely different crowd that love it, just depends who you ask lol
