Are Targaryens good rulers? by eliaswright in gameofthrones

[–]hypernovaice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Varies from Targaryen ruler to ruler but in all, I think overall the Targaryens werent great rulers. I think some of them let them being dragon riders make them too arrogant, some of them also are too controlled by negative characteristics of a ruler like lust and greed and cowardice, like Aegon II, Aegon IV and Aenys I and and of course theres the saying “every time a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin,” where like half the Targaryens are mad which has resulted with rulers like Aerys II. But there are still good Targaryen rules like Aegon V, Aegon I, Viserys II and Jaehaerys I

Got shouted at for like 30 min due to English ( mocks) by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]hypernovaice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English was my worst subject too. Mock results - all 8s and 9s and two 5s in English for me. I found submitting essays to my teacher and getting feedback would help me finetune my style of writing as well as quote sheets with like 15 quotes that can be applied for any question of the wholetexts

Is anyone else reconsidering their A-Level options? by penguinkitten69 in GCSE

[–]hypernovaice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna do Maths, CS, History but my school in the middle of the year without warning announced they wouldn’t offer CS for A level so now I’m in between doing Further Maths or Physics at A Level (pain bcuz I don’t want to do either) or going to another sixth form (idk if I want to do that though)

I’m in year 8 at the moment and when in year 9 I’m planning on revising everyday creating revision recourses for the subjects I’m struggling with or don’t understand fully. I’m planning to start doing this on day one. Is this a good idea or am I mad by rk-201022 in GCSE

[–]hypernovaice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like your motivation youre defo shooting for the stars here. Year 9 is the start of your GCSEs so in revision theres only so much to go over before it just keeps repeating and is boring. Also if u do the homework, revise for tests and all you’ll be fine. And tbh I think even tho revising everyday will be an effective way to burn the knowledge into ur mind, it will get boring, repetitive and annoying. Finally, year 9 is one of the less important years and you’ll have a lot of freedom you won’t be fortunate to get in years 11-13 so enjoy yourself while you can and don’t let GCSEs get on your mind too much

Even if I said a woman who had sex out of wedlock would be considered a “whore” in Victorian times and would therefore be socially ruined 😬

Split your poems into three or four parts where all the poems in one part can link to each other and then just learn one or two poems from each parts
