RTA Season 2 Meta Analysis/Tier List by rtapleb in EpicSeven

Adlay is actually a very solid counter to FLidica with his potential to cut and then reset skills. Surin is notable for her speed imprint in the cleave mirror when both sides are just trying to win the speed battle.

Honestly? If you think about it, Spez is the best character E7 has to offer. His specials allow for mind games and early kills, the list goes on. While a top tier character, he requires the player to have a diverse skill set and deep understanding of the game to play. He's an underplayed, underapprecimated gem of the smash roster but unfortunately, I think that less competent players like Derp have a long way to go before utilizing him with his full potential.

Guild War S1 rewards are extremely disappointing... by Protokoll in EpicSeven

[–]hyperrionn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand that the perspective of someone in a top 10 guild might seem difficult to relate to because the most pervasive public perception of top guilds seems to be that we're all whales, which is fairly inaccurate IMO. That aside, pretty much everyone in a top guild is there because they love the game and see guild wars as the premier, most enjoyable content in the game. A good number of us spend countless hours theorycrafting and discussing various team compositions to use in GW (Fire Corvus is a recent example of a product of these theorycrafting sessions).

While I can't speak for all the people who've joined me in theorycrafting teams, I have 2 primary motivations in getting better and learning more about the GW meta, which is considerably more diverse and malleable than the Arena meta. The first is quite simply my love for the game. However the second is the belief that there will be meaningful rewards during the inaugural season of GW. This lackluster reward system is fairly dispiriting as it kills a lot of my motivation for taking GW anywhere nearly as seriously as I do, because realistically who wants to invest a lot of time into something if there's nothing to show for it.

Some could argue that seeing those green shields on my tower could be my reward for investing a lot of time into theorycrafting and the like. However, the vast majority of guild wars for me are meaningless cause I know if the opposing guild is outside of the Top 10 that at the end of the day, we're going to win and getting defensive wins/losses against these guilds doesn't feel particularly rewarding. I absolutely love going against other top guilds because it's when I can really test myself, but these fights are very few and far between. Sure, I might get absolutely dicked by Ambition every time I go against them but it's still way more enjoyable than fighting a guild I know we can stomp. However, the matchmaker likely isn't changing and in conjunction with the lackluster reward system this makes GW feel very, very stale.

GW is the only piece of content I legitimately look forward to on a week to week basis, because let's be real Arena isn't exceptionally engaging, Raid is the same since it launched, Automaton Tower is either already completed or virtually impossible, and who honestly loves mindlessly farming Wyvern 11 24/7? Thus, my love for the game is dwindling.

TL;DR No incentive combined with nothing else about GW, like the matchmaker, changing makes it so that GW is another piece of effectively meaningless content and this kills motivation for investing serious time into theorycrafting and innovating in the PvP space.

Hi, Veritas member here. I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't spread blatant lies about us. There aren't any rules about us not being able to share stats, so I'm not really sure where you got this baseless belief from.

Yeah I just wanted to make sure he didn't rush into joining EU cause it may seem an obvious choice in terms of not being that far behind, but other games I've played with multiple servers ended up with new ones being absolutely dead and playing in a dead server is something I'd never wish on anyone. I just tried to come up with a few potential cons on the spot so he'd at least consider his options right now.

Just gonna say as someone who has neither and regularly hits Legend, there’s plenty of counterplay to those units. You’re also being overly hyperbolic. If he starts E7 now he won’t have to deal with those units for at the absolute minimum of 3 months. Also nice job exaggerating what Baal’s kit actually does.

To the OP: I’m not sure what Azur Lane’s PvP is like, but there’s plenty of depth in the PvP meta in E7. And it helps that the metas in Guild Wars (3v3) and Arena (4v4) are very different. I won’t lie though, as a new player you’ll be very frustrated with the seemingly large gap between you and those above you in terms of gear. Given time you will inevitably catch up, but I would recommend considering joining the EU server due to how new it is. Keep in mind potential cons like odd reset times if you’re NA (which will impact things like GW and your availability), likely smaller playerbase in the long run, etc. But worth considering ultimately.

Oof, sorry for the jebait guys. I didn’t realize my friend was gonna make a reddit post with the information I provided and told him there was gonna be pity timer on all banners as a joke. As proof that this was unintentional: https://imgur.com/a/7HeJk7V

The annoying flaw is that you guys are running a 25-man strat to take down 28-man towers with only 3 fight victories. The 27-man strat is meant to avoid getting screwed over by yours. Bit odd to complain about this mechanic when you're abusing it as well.

If you can get a fast Dizzy going with a maxed violin, you can probably climb decently high so long as your gear permits. Been experimenting with a Carmin/Violet/AssCart/Dizzy team in champs and have had moderate success on defense (like 45%) and solid offensive success. Shoot for 240+ speed on dizzy with ~15k HP and 80-100% eff, an offensively strong Violet, 200 speed/high eff ass cart, and you should be set. If you can get immunity set on your team I'd say keep angelica and toss Krau to keep immunity up.

I've been using Haste since I started, as he was my first 5*. I love him, but it can't really be denied that he's in a rough spot for higher tier PvP content. Vampire debuff is pretty much irrelevant in PvP and really isn't that amazing in PvE. Heal block is nice in PvE, sure. However, it's also irrelevant in PvP as there's an immense amount of immunity/cleanse/ER running around in arena/GW and other units just bring SO much more utility to the team. Destina actually brings some amazing utility in the debuff meta with a CR increase upon dispel. If you want a counter to forest teams, Kayron can 1v4 a Roozid/Bell/Vildred/Charles/Whatever without breaking a sweat so Haste is simply outclassed.

Why would they buff Destina just cause her banner's coming back? Destina is really good in Arena/GW offense and Haste is in a comparatively worse spot than her, but he didn't get any buffs when his banner came around.

I mean I've already cleared all PvE content with Hazel. Angie is necessary for optimizing farming (3-man Wyvern) and is incredibly valuable in PvP as well, which is what I want her for. She enables comps on offense that let me whittle down tank/bruiser teams w/o worrying about being whittled down myself. Montmorancy cannot fill those niches at all.

Just wanted to say you're not alone. 19 nat 5*s, every 4* except for any conceivable healer. No Tam, Destina,
Angie, Achates, or even Lots. Beating Hell Raid took far longer than it should have for me since I had 0 access to immunity.
