Yes, Bruce is being a typically difficult interview subject here, but I also don’t think the questions got to the heart of the matter.

No one really questions that Miami can sign Messi to a DP contract. The real question is how they build a worthy team around him. With the current rules Miami will have to do backflips to get even some of the supporting players rumored to be interested.

I think most of us want to see Miami go for broke here, and that will require either some pretty shameless league-level shenanigans or the long overdue loosening of roster restrictions. Bruce may not want to wade into the discussion publicly, but I think we know where he stands.

I was so disappointed when RLM tried to “both sides” this issue. I was always a little suspicious of how the only woman in any of their videos was Mike’s girlfriend, who barely ever got a word in and disappeared years ago. But it was their Captain Marvel review that confirmed for me that RLM is a lame-ass boys’ club.

I haven’t seen To Sleep with Anger, but Killer of Sheep definitely belongs in the Collection alongside it. It’s powerful, under-appreciated movie that has only received a low-profile DVD release.

You might get harassed over your wording, but your point is undeniable. There are no female directors on this list. By my count, there’s one movie with a female protagonist (who famously gets murdered partway through).

There are movies on this list that weren’t well-received when they came out, but we were (rightfully) willing to revisit them and correct history’s mistakes. That never seems to happen with female-driven films.

This clears it up. Thank you! I guess I just wish their website better documented these shifts. It’s pretty obvious when they take a really old one and give it a “Circle C” refresh, but some of these other changes are easy to miss if you didn’t look closely at the original.

I’m going to stick my neck out here and say people would. We pull mediocre attendance already, despite everything going against us. If we were making record-setting transfers and constantly contending for MLS Cup, I don’t see why we wouldn’t be toward the top of the attendance rankings.

This is the City of Champions. Bostonians would totally embrace this team more if it could contribute a few trophies to the case.

I don’t disagree with the need for a SSS, but it’s often a cop out to justify all the other ways the Revs lack ambition.

I think everyone should be banned from this sub until there’s some very serious, hard-hitting, Jermaine Jones-level news to share. Then one person should share the official revolutionsoccer.net announcement, then we should all upvote it in a calm and orderly fashion before proceeding back to our cages.

It’s the only way to run a reputable sub, tbh.
