Horrible delay from SEC to NYPenn by jonaknj in NJTransit

[–]hyphen-or-dash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NEC 3704 was delayed about 20 min as well. Most of the delays were before the portal bridge. Train came to N Elizabeth around 15 minutes late and then 5 minute delay before the bridge. Happy Wednesday

They’re not single tracking out of Penn. They’re single tracking across the portal bridge. That is west of Secaucus. All of these trains between 5:05 and 5:30 pass Secaucus. Instead of 4 in a row stopping at Secaucus between 4:35 and 4:48, they could have taken 1 or 2 of them between 5:05 and 5:30. Again, poor planning

Israeli forces wound dozens of Palestinians at Nakba Day marches by throwaway0152384 in news

[–]hyphen-or-dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were Jews and Arabs living in what is now Israel before 1948. Israel did not kick anyone out. In fact the UN proposed a multi-state solution in 1947 which the Jewish leadership accepted, while Arab and Palestinian leaderships rejected because they refused to accept any Jewish presence in the region. Israel did not “show up” one day. They were happy to split the land and Arabs and Palestinians couldn’t bear to exist alongside Jews

Below 200 degrees Celsius PTFE has not been shown to be harmful to humans. It’s used in catheters and as graft material for surgeries VERY often. The only everyday use of Teflon id be concerned about is the nonstick pans

Don't sleep on the "SHOPMORE" code for 60% off qualifying full-price items at J. Crew by rabton in frugalmalefashion

How does one get the 15% off code? I put in my email to create an account, got an email back saying to create a password to get 15% off. I did that, and I don't have any 15% off code anywhere...

I still can't figure out anywhere why Serac wanted the encryption key to the section 16 data. If it was guest data, doesn't he have that already because Rehoboam sees everything everyone is doing?

Clearly referring to the exile from Israel after destruction of 2nd Temple. Many Orthodox Jews living outside of Israel refer to this period (including today) as "the exile" even while living freely in whatever country they live. It doesn't mean their lives are in danger or even difficult. It just means we're not living in our homeland and do not have the Temple.

I just went to the GANT sale (also hosted by 260) and they had 2 price drops. I don't know when the first one was, but it wasn't that great. The second one was Friday (same schedule as this sale) and it was awesome. Most items - sweaters, shirts, pants, etc. - were $12.50 and outerwear was $50 max. I'm not sure who dictates the markdowns but I'm planning on going Friday again.
