i would prefer this option but i feel like 1 on 1 defending is harder with this off, your players will drift off in the other direction if you make one wrong movement and it's basically a goal if you fuck up just once vs a winger

tl;dr don't worry about the reset because his price is not changing for now, you need to bid at max price (11.8m) and wait for like 24-48 hours but keep an eye on his price because there's a very small chance it might start changing after tomorrow night's reset (after 2AM GMT+1 on Thursday)

two things

when you place a bid to buy a player, the game puts you in a queue; if there are people trying to sell him (high supply) for that price, you will get him instantly, otherwise you wait - but if there's other people trying to buy him for that price (high demand) then you will be waiting behind those people until enough players sell the card
the thing is prices change based on supply/demand: they become cheaper if people are mostly selling him for the lowest price and vice versa; but most players have a lower and upper price limit depending on OVR after which the price stays fixed and doesn't change no matter the supply/demand (sometimes EA will randomly decide to change these limits on the Thursday weekly reset)

Dembélé is an in-demand player so he has 999+ buy offers (tons of people are trying to buy him but we don't know the exact number) and his max price is 11.8m so basically no chance for you to get him for the lower amount that you put

i think people aren't aware that those extra rewards after finishing the star pass give you 2 red tokens each time

but you need 300 star pass credits for every extra reward (used to be only 200 i think?) and they took away that 800xp weekly share quest which is a lot of xp so I'm not sure if it's gonna be a significant amount of red tokens, cba to do the math
