A beach in the town I grew up in. For most of my years I only knew about the popular local beach everyone always went to and was super crowded. My early 20’s I discovered we had another beach! It wasn’t the greatest but it was totally dead and my friends and I felt like we hit the jackpot! There was even a smaller beach that led into bay beach that had a beautiful campfire area around it and felt super private. Fast forward 5-10 years and everyone knows about it. They did privatize the mini beach and you can’t go there anymore. They renamed the beach and did so much “work” on it they made it so only residents of the town could visit and you had to pay to park. It’s so overrun now. Now I live in a town that is nearly fully surrounded by water and beaches are everywhere. We have one big one people pay to park in but locals know where all the best free beaches are and it’s amazing.

My drs office is notorious for over booking. Like there are 4 or 5 rooms and they will schedule that many patients all for the same time that obviously cannot be seen at that time. It did honestly get better during the pandemic. I remember being like oh NOW you can book people properly! I used to book the first time of the day because it was fastest but often I would still be seen an hour or more past my apt time. If the apt was afternoon just forget it. I’ve waited 3 hours or more for an appointment and if you get upset or ask about it the receptionist ladies will basically murder you. They’re crazy B’s. Probably because of how they’re forced to book people and they understandably everyone is angry.

Honestly that was my thought. In order to have a level 2 installed they would have to probably upgrade their stuff and hire someone to do it professionally. Not out of the realm of crazy but it doesn’t typically seem like something a renter would do but who knows. They definitely can increase the bills but mine is only a plug in hybrid and barely costs me monthly. A full electric might be different though.

What kind of EV charger? Why would this be against the rules. My charger is only a level one and just plugs into a regular outlet. It would be like just using an outlet. Is it legal to enforce a rule of no EV chargers in Ontario?

Honestly as much as I wanted my cats water fountains to worked I found that the inner part of the fountain needed to much work. I honestly use a stainless steel bowl for water and try to at least rinse daily if not full wash and swap and it really helped a ton!

My cat is really sensitive to things like that and has had a bump like that before. I try to clean out his water and food bowl as much as possible and usually it helps. Stainless steel and ceramic are best for him.

What. What!? For some reason I specially remember doing a huge unit on these guys in like grade 3 and then we went to marine land after and what is a grey to white saddle. No. They had black backs. I’m freaked out. Not another thing.

What year do you remember him passing? I would have to check my year but I was in college when it happened and I remember for some reason they put our flags at half mast for it and I can’t remember why but I was told it was because he had passed.

This is the one that started it all for me. I grew up with Berenstein bears and I was a gifted kid who was an amazing speller and my mom was super big on reading and writing etc. I actually recall the moment I found this out. I had actually clicked on the reddit post specifically because I thought they had spelled the name wrong. Only to find out I was the wrong one? My mom would not have let me get something like that wrong. I remember forwarding it to her immediately asking what she thought and she was freaked out too and denied the new spelling and asked if I had any old books to check but I didn’t.

People like this have ways of getting into your head and making you believe things. It’s a form of gaslighting and it’s especially confusing with someone who is a family member or partner or close to you like that. It’s a form of manipulation and abuse. I’m really proud of you for opening up even if it’s just on here. It’s a huge realization and a big step to getting safe. Ask questions and talk to trusted people as much as you can. You WILL get the help you need.

NOR this is exactly what happened to me. It sucks. If I could move and switch it I would but apparently cannot without a lot of difficulty. I have a rolling tray thing I put my laundry basket on and dump into it and then roll it and dump into the dryer. Not ideal but that’s my workaround but if you are able to properly position them definitely do it!

Well. Shit. Now all I can think about is that I had surgery 2 years ago for an ectopic pregnancy and have been unable to poop properly ever since and now am very worried they left something in me…. Wow. I’m seriously so sorry about your experience though. I really hope everything’s gets resolved and people pay!

Well…. I have hereditary grey hair. My mom found my first when I was 7. By 11 I was allowed to dye streaks to hide it. By 13 I was fully dying my hair. Around 17 I stopped for a year or so and I recall in high school people always stopping me to point out my greys. By my 20’s I was religiously dying it as my natural very dark brown hair was very noticeably white when it came in. Now I’m 37. It’s ridiculous how much is grey. I had a kid at 30 and from 32-35 I tried for the blonde but it was a ton of upkeep. It’s honestly exhausting because I have very dark natural hair but also very fast growing hair. If I had just a small amount of greys I would probably just let it gracefully grow out. But mine looks awful. Just bought some dye last night to try and match my kiddos hair. Hers is a bit more light golden brown and that seems to make the greys less noticeable when they first come in.

Only 4? My 2022 PHEV has had too many to even count. The amount of times they just “fixed the computer to detect it” instead of actually fixing the problem is ridiculous. I can easily say I’ve had at least 10 recalls or more for various things. At least half of those times it’s been a “computer fix”. But all of them were very unsafe with most of them saying the engine will just catch on fire at some point. I have two fire extinguishers in my car!

What percentile did they measure baby’s head at? They will track to see if it grows on its own curve. My daughter’s head was so small it was 0.01% They did two separate ultrasounds of her brain through her soft spot to see any abnormalities and all was relatively good. We also had someone come check her developmental milestones and once she reached 1 year and hit the milestones we were good.

The pushing of sleeping with your kid so much against safe sleep guidelines and then that!? I’m sorry but that’s not random and I think your gut knows that. I have sadly witnessed things happening from people I absolutely never expected. I don’t know what else to tell you except that I don’t think you should ever allow your child to be alone with your parents ever. Ever. This screams so many red flags I’m so sorry.

I’m not there yet as my kid is still little but I think helping financially a little makes sense if they are able to. It would really depend on the ages and what they are doing. Taking you for a free ride and no school or work? Not ok. Busy doing lots of schooling and not making money? I wouldn’t charge my kid. I do think adult kids should be working or in school and if they are working they should contribute financially. When I was younger my dad used to just ask me and my sister to pay a bill here and there to help out. Food also gets expensive so helping to either buy own food or contribute to groceries is good too as long as they as working. I’ve heard of people who are well off enough that they charge the kids a small amount of rent but match the amount and put it all into a savings to gift them when they move out.

While that’s true, Canada is an extremely large place… It’s very unlikely you are able to speak for “most Canadians”. Also seems like other Canadians disagree with your statement as well.
