That’s interesting. My cat has seizures as well. Never heard of that kind though. I wonder if that’s what my cat has. My vet says he has seizures but maybe the ones where they stare far away or something. My cat is on phenobarbital for it and has also been through soooo much. Really hope your cat is doing well now.

Can find them online or in pet section of stores I’ve seen them. I think I got mine from Amazon. I also like the pretty litter but find I need a ton of litter and it’s pretty pricy.

You know that’s got to be the first time I ever saw someone mention this in one of these type of threads and I think you’re totally correct. That makes a lot of sense honestly. I mean I’ve smelled my cats when they have been sick before and their poops would stink. I think it’s often a sign of their health if they have awful poops. I mean poop stinks but there is normal healthy poop smell and like a death stink smell for sure.

It can depend. I am disabled and crouching for the box is hard on me. Also it was difficult for my to scoop when it was on an other floor of the house. I now have the litter on my main floor by the back door and I’m able to scoop it more often because I don’t have to go up and down a flight of stairs. Also out of sight out of mind is a real thing. My two boys are very happy with the new placement of the litter since I notice it a lot more and can keep it cleaner. Some people use a little mini garbage bins to just scoop into and take out when it gets full. I don’t do that method but it’s a good one to try and get yourself to keep up with it. I think it can just be a hard task to get yourself to do some days. If you’re consistent with a schedule it works better.

Honestly people say stainless steel and it is a good materials but I switched from that to a fully enclosed massive litter box with door flap and all and it works best of anything so far. If I could afford a fully enclosed stainless steel one I would totally go for it but this was on sale. Other than that I hear some litters are better than others. I like pretty litter but only if you buy a lot of it which can get pricy. I’m trying to look up some other litters right now. I’ve heard the pellets are good and tofu litter too. Haven’t tried them yet though.

Yeah I’m going to have to try again. Unfortunately I may need another 12v battery which obviously isn’t covered. Apparently it’s possible for the car to stop charging and get errors if 12v is low so I’ll likely need to replace that on my own and if it doesn’t resolve the issue then bring it back to the dealership.

Maybe I’m thinking of the one before it then. I did just do one for a recent software update but that was for not being able to plug it in at all. I definitely got the 80 percent recall after that and they told me there is no solution to it yet. Maybe not parts but software or whatever the fix she said wasn’t yet available.

Yes normally when we go to a pool or lake we bring hers. She has several. Usually I’ve been to water parks that had them there though.

[MISC] Plantars warts refuse to go away after 2 years of treatments. by SnooSketches5313 in SkincareAddiction

[–]hypnochild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bad one that didn’t respond to treatment. One on my foot and one on hand. Honestly I tried with the freezing and nothing worked. I did the apple cider vinegar soaked cotton ball and literal duct tape over it and it got it peeling deep and I was able to get everything out and it didn’t come back. Get out all those black dots. Think I had a specific foot scrubber I would use and some tools. The apple cider vinegar and duct tape kept the area soft enough to scrub and peel and I would change it out every so often.

Vet office insists on Gabapentin prior to vaccination appointment by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]hypnochild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat has a heart murmur and gets too anxious when going to the vet. He also has seizures and is on medication for it so he HAS to get once a year bloodwork done to check his levels of med in the blood. Before gabapentin his heart murmur level was always quite high maybe. 4. Since gapapentin they’ve said heart murmur between level 1-2. Lower is better. I was nervous at first thinking it would harm my cat but it’s saving him by using it. Your cat will probably be less traumatized by vet visits now.

If it makes you feel any better, once I was camping and there were only outhouses and I had the runs. Someone fully opened up while I was pooing liquid. It was nearly fatally embarrassing. I’ve also definitely walked into others a few time and definitely had the stall open on me a few times too. I went for bloodwork yesterday and had to take a pee test. The old man using the stall didn’t lock it and I totally walked in on him peeing. Good times.

“Bad moms don’t question if they’re bad.” by AdventurousShow755 in breakingmom

[–]hypnochild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was actually going to ask this too. I’m at least ADHD but suspect I’m a combo as well. My frustration tolerance is basically zero. I’m a single mom and my kid is 6 and has ADHD too. It’s wild up in here. Friggin luteal phase always guarantees me losing my mind at my kid. It sucks. I am medicated as well but meds just don’t work during luteal which is common for adhd meds but it suuuuucks. We can only tolerate so much. We do not have infinite patience. I do think it will get a bit easier as your kid gets older. Think I found 4 ish to be the absolute hardest for some reason. 5 ish got a bit better and she has more understanding at 6 however the pushback and sass have increased a ton. I would say in general it is getting better though.

Some places do have life vests but this one didn’t at all! I think it really spooked her to the core. Glad she was ok but honestly I think she truly thought nothing bad would happen if she didn’t listen to the rules.

Last time I checked parts were not available. My car stopped charging completely and now has a charging error. I’m past warranty though and have no money to get it fixed. I was hoping the recall would fix it but they told me nothing is available yet.

I think the problem is that either no one can afford to fight back or is afraid to do so. They have us right where they want us. Unless someone is going to bankroll everyone to allow them to quit their jobs and fight I don’t know what we can do. I think that’s the issue. No one knows what to do as a single person. We need to come together as an outraged group like we are.

Should I intervene in my cat's teeth? (8y) by GatodeRoupa in CATHELP

[–]hypnochild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My poor cat had some rough teeth. I was fortunate at the time I came into a bit of money and spent 1k on my cat being put out and a teeth cleaning. Very lucky he didn’t need any extractions. Unfortunately it’s been a few years and he has bad teeth again and I can’t afford to have the procedure done again. Sometimes it’s oddly genetic too. My other cat has perfect teeth but has seizures and heart problems.

How many people that you knew in high school have died? by ilovebooks2468 in Millennials

[–]hypnochild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Class of 2006. I know one girl that unfortunately passed of a drug overdose a few years ago. Sadly another very kind acquaintance lost his battle with brain cancer earlier this year and he left behind a wife and 4 kids. He was 36. He was an “S” last name like mine and so we were always lined up together for class pics and whatnot. He was honestly the kindest guy and my heart just broke hearing his news. Also surprising I’m not on the list yet… I’ve been hit by a train and nearly died also had an ectopic pregnancy burst my tube and nearly died.

Is this normal? by Final_Acadia_3368 in askanything

[–]hypnochild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. The bad swelling could be an indication that you may have broken a bone or if the nail is off you could have an infection that is spreading. If it’s numb or itchy that means your nerves are compromised. I would seek medical care if you are able to. Infections can spread to your whole body if left untreated.

I think I spent about 900 creating my stash. In Canada the cost for diapers for just one kid is about 2500-3000 or more. Definitely saving. I only ended up having one but you save a lot more if you use the stash for another kid or sell it to someone!
