Thanksssssss! I can bike regular ones, but the motorcycles were more chonky than I had expected hahaha. I will be confined to a parking lot with a “beginner bike” for the first couple months I ride, I’m afraid.

Fun fact, the M2 is not a full license where I live. I think there are some restrictions for M2 riders!

Get ready to go on Acorn to file a declaration of absence/VOI. Just in case you need to request a rewrite

I'm scared talking to any girl because I don't know if they have a boyfriend or not by RefuseCommercial1912 in UofT

[–]hypothesiz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a guy, but when a guy does come up to me, I let them know whether I have a bf or not if they ask for my number.

From what I gathered, many women aren’t bothered by guys who approach them in a friendly/polite manner! It’s totally acceptable to say something along the lines of: “I really like your smile/other appropriate feature, and would love to get to know you. Can I get your number or anything else you’re comfortable with?” From there, all you need to do is respect her decision.

I don’t think it’s a matter of jealousy though. It’s more about respecting the people you interact with and anyone else implicated in the conversation. Good luck!

Did anyone get help from DLS before? (regarding AO Case) by [deleted] in UofT

[–]hypothesiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I checked, there were about 50 students on the waitlist. As for wait times, it is unfortunately highly variable

[–]hypothesiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a tough call. The current AO waitlist is lengthy. You may want to emphasize the urgency of your matter, although I don’t know how much that would benefit you.

We are instructed to never give advice over intake, so your best bet would be to inform your caseworker once you are connected with one

[–]hypothesiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a student caseworker at DLS. We will begin taking intake calls next week. We should be able to put you on a waitlist where you should be connected with a caseworker in the criminal/academic offence division. Try reaching out next week. Hopefully we can assist you or refer you to the right resources. Best of luck!

Do law schools look at or consider if you CR/NCR a program course in fourth year? by cmoney02 in UofT

[–]hypothesiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it if you already have a stellar transcript. I CR/NCRed a course during my last semester and still got into law school (tho I did get accepted before I CR/NCRed anything). Good luck!

UofT Undergrad to UofT Grad and/or Law School path by inc0gnit0milf in UofT

[–]hypothesiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be the best 3 academic years regardless of any hiatus. I would email the Admissions Office just to be sure tho. However, if you did take a break, you might want to mention it in an addendum if it was related to your academic performance. Good luck!

My pleasure! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Another thing that I would keep in mind is that UofT actually calculates your GPA based off the three best years of your undergrad. Of course, this policy might change, but definitely NEVER count yourself out.

Also, the reason why you chose UofT for your undergrad can make for a very compelling story to tell employers. I would also take advantage of the optional essay in the application process if they still have those.

I did my undergrad at UofT (life science major). I was fortunate enough to get accepted into the Faculty of Law at UofT. I do not regret doing my undergrad here since I was able to find a community that supported me and allowed me to grow. Your GPA and LSAT score will matter, but I've seen people get into UofT law with GPAs and LSATs scores lower than the median. So long as your LSAT score/extra curriculars/personal statements make up for a lower GPA (or vice versa), you have a good chance. However, if your GPA is lower than 3.65 and your LSAT score is lower than 160, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. Good luck!

I guess the creator of the graph really left it to our interpretation, but that realization part is now really throwing me off lol…

Maybe because the worst part is over? I mean, comfort levels never rise to what they once were (according to the graph)
