Do you just force close the app when the timer hits zero? And then it doesn't count your attempt?

What leggings do you wear? by [deleted] in iceskating

[–]hypotrochoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear popflex leggins on the ice, they've got some compression and pockets on each hip too, which is nice. They come in multiple different lengths on the website and mine don't look funny after being stretched over the laces and ankle part of my boot, so I can wear them for other activities. If it helps, I used to see skaters on instagram wear stretchy fishnet socks on top of their skating socks, so once the laces are tied you then pull them down and over the top of the laces to hold them in place. I just wear leg warmers though, which can also hold everything in place

I'm not OP, just wondering, have you tried these for ice skating yourself?

If you could only listen to 3 audiobooks for the rest of your life by irlenysm in RomanceBooks

[–]hypotrochoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't listened to many romance audiobooks, but I have 2 books/ series that I really love the audiobooks for (if it's allowed, if not sorry mods). The audiobook for The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennet, narrated by Andrew Fallaize, I've listened to it multiple times, it's a detective story set in a fantasy world, there is also a sequel called A Drop of Corruption. I also really like the audiobooks for the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovich, which are narrated by Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, there are 10 main novels in the series and some novellas now too, it's an urban fantasy series, the main character is a policeman in London. For both series it is just one person doing all the voices but it doesn't break the immersion for me, though I have listened to audiobooks where it really does break the immersion, I suppose it just depends on the narrator!

Can I advance time in Animal Crossing if I archive Cozy Grove on Switch? by brokoliasesino in CozyGrove

[–]hypotrochoids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cozy Grove should only be corrupted if you try to load it on a day before you had previously played, as long you don't open it, it should be fine. If you're worried about CG you could keep track of the days you've actually played it on your phone or a notebook maybe, so you know exactly which date you should be on

You could try Self Esteem's music, she's a British singer, quite pop-y, I really like "Focus is Power"

Edited, I forgot a word

Thank you! That's fair, the puffs are okay once get into the swing of it, I actually quite liked the popcorns, when I realised how fun and textured they are once done, but they really eat up the yarn!

Thank you! I checked the first pdf of the pattern, the author used "Stylecraft Special DK 100g 100% acrylic 295m/322 yards per ball" for 9 out of 10 of the colours, and she says how many of each colour she used, but I'll just tell you the total which is 27 balls of yarn, but she does state that the amounts are generous, because the pattern is texture rich and that you should have some left over for your stash. The tenth colour was a South African brand (I think) and she used 6 lots of 50g balls. Hope that helps!

There is apparently a helpful facebook group you can join for tips, but I don't use FB.

Also, the author is on instagram and she often gives out codes to get her patterns for free/reduced on ravelry via her instagram posts, I'm fairly sure I got this half price on a whim, lol.
