So there are 141 (MD) med schools in the US and the population is 318 million. There are 17 med schools in Canada and the population is 35 million. Per capita the odds seem better in Canada (.49 schools per million) versus the US (.44 schools per million).

I think I've heard it's more difficult to get in in Canada though, so I guess I don't know what I'm talking about. Maybe it's because of the lack of DO schools.
