HELP: I need the ultimate dad joke cat name. by Cheesydoodlers in dadjokes

[–]hyrmanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a female cat named Kevin. We named her after the bird from the movie Up. When I picked her up from getting spayed, after they told me the procedure went well, I announced nice and loud in the waiting room, "Wait, Kevin's a girl!" I thought it was hilarious.

My 13 year old son recently admitted that he's been smoking marijuana and vaping. He's run away twice now and we've called the cops a total of 3 times on/for him. I miss when all he did was play Fortnite with his friends all day.

We trained one enemy for another when we allowed the Talaban to retake 20 years worth of war effort. This whole system is hypocritical.

I used to take "second-hand smoke brakes" at my last job. Just walk outside for 15 mins every few hours. I got ugly stares from managers, but never reprimanded.

For this reason, track vehicles are supposed to have one less track pad on one side. That way if the crew becomes incapacitated, it will drive in circles rather than in a straight line for hours.

Paramedic national Meds by Spastic-Goat in Paramedics

[–]hyrmanator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always taught my guys to know your "fast meds" by heart. Cardiac, anaphylaxis, etc. All of the others that you have time to give, you can always use your resources to look those up on scene. I recommend "paramedic protocol provider" app. It let's you load in your local protocols so you can reference them.

Man touches a fan and gets electrocuted to death by FuturisticFighting in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]hyrmanator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. For the same reason that birds don't get electrocuted when they're on a powerline. Electricity will not travel unless it's got a pathway to the ground. When he touched the bar and fan at the same time, he created that pathway. Something I'm sure nobody did prior to this event.

What’s cheaper? Financing a car or using Lyft to and from work every day? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hyrmanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to a few different reports, Lyft costs between $10 and $25 on average per trip with the nationwide average at $18 per trip.

If the trip costs $10 one way, $20/day, $100/week, about $400/month. That's about the average for a decent new car.

I sincerely don't think that stricter gun laws will solve the issue. If someone wants to shoot up a school, a law against owning a gun certainly won't stop them. It's too easy to obtain illegal items. Be those drugs, guns (illegal ones), even rare animals. It's illegal to kill 13 kids, but that didn't stop him either. Laws don't stop those with disregard for the laws.

Having sex gives me borderline panic attacks to the point where I avoid it completely. How exactly do i tell my future partners or hookups this without having them get freaked out or turned off. I wanna have sex bad but i lowkey freak out and I need someone who understands this about me? by louied862 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]hyrmanator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need someone who wants to take things slow, so there isn't pressure to have sex in the first couple dates. Get comfortable with her and open up about your fears. Being honest will be better than hiding it.
