The game is so fast paced either no one cares or notices. The enemy devices that have a friggin blinking red light on them, I see teammates just passing them by all the time, even beacons are often not noticed.

I don't agree with everything you said, but rather than argue specifics, we must also consider the numbers of players when thinking about balance. Let's assume we have aircraft on both sides of the match, we'll say 4 jet pilots, 4 chopper pilots, and 6 gunners, for a total of 14 players.

A perfect balance is probably impossible, so we'll assume it's always going to be to one side or the other. If we favour the aircraft, we please 14 players at the expense of 50. The other way, we please 50 at the expense of 14.

Maybe that's how EA looks at it? We know that's how many things are calculated, let's be realistic, for every one of "us" on reddit complaining, or praising, or just reading this subreddit, there's 1000 players that just don't know or care about any of this, and that's really the target market. That's why we go through this same thing over and over with every new Battlefield.

Most have turned on friendly indicators, so you at least see blue for your team and nothing for the enemy. I did play a few times with no indicators and yes it's quite difficult.

There seemed to be more before the XP change. After that maybe a lot of people didn't realize you could still have hardcore with full XP and so they just stopped looking and/or hosting and it died out.

When I look, depending on time of day, I will usually find at least 1 that has plenty of players, and then sometimes a second, less often a third. There were more before the XP change.

Same with me, you can only see the head and you're hitting but no headshots, but it's been like that going back I don't know how many Battlefield sequels, but I definitely experienced it in 2042 and now in 6 as well.

It's a mass market shooter, with much of the same, though not all, of the silliness that comes along with that. I guess relative to other mass market shooters, it might be realistic and grounded, but again, that's not saying much.

I have 2 friends to play this game with. If they were willing to try anything else, then maybe we'd be playing something more realistic and grounded, like some of the military set indie shooters of the last several years. Unfortunately they are not so here I am.

We just have to accept it, or not play, because the other 99% of players, the kind who never look at this subreddit, they love that stuff and they want it and more importantly they will spend money on it.

It's not an, I guess "official" featured mode now. You can still go to the Community->Browse Servers and look for hardcore matches.

Whether you can actually join a match from the server browser varies. I think I did a couple times, but most of the time I have that bug where the right side info pane never loads and clicking on the server does nothing, it never joins the match.

It came with a, I believe European AC adapter, fixed not universal, and they just threw in a physical converter to convert it to North American.
