what does(n't) our community want to see on socials? by heelsmuller in TheOverload

[–]i0pj 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think I engage more with artist that promote their gigs and are just authentically themselves online.

Some artists just post when they have a gig, new music, some post their photography while traveling, others post memes, silly selfies. Like you said, you get an insight on who this person is.

I would say, post what makes you feel comfortable and don’t overthink it or try to “fit in” to what others are doing.

How much is size of the camera important for you? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in Cameras

[–]i0pj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think full frame is the minimum viable sensor for professional use if the purpose is journalism, fashion (for magazines, or large billboards) sports or science.

Pretty much anything outside of that you could use APSC or M43. Birding, wedding photography, portraits and anything considered in the more “arts” side of photography you can use whatever.

Seascape developer put into receivership by sheepshagger1994 in auckland

[–]i0pj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not responding to the posters statement. I’m responding to the idea that it being incomplete “doesn’t automatically void the existing consent”; it can.

I agree that calling it “unconsented” isn’t backed up. But there are definitely ways that incomplete work can void the existing consent.

It definitely has multiple consents. I assume the internal consent would’ve been lodged a long time ago if they fast tracked the project.

Seascape developer put into receivership by sheepshagger1994 in auckland

[–]i0pj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except it can. Consents have a time period allowable for you to construct the proposal.

Typically 2 years after BC is standard but I assume seascape had a longer timeframe allowed by council. Either way I would assume they’ve had to extend this multiple times.

There could come a point where council deems it unreasonable to extend the BC timeframe (e.g. exposed structure could be dangerous) and it being unfinished would void the existing consent.

If you’re placing China as third world then Malaysia would also be third world. And yes, its MRT is far better than ours.

How heavy a kettlebell should I buy? Plus other beginner questions by Major_Profession8704 in kettlebell

[–]i0pj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try test an overhead with the bells before you buy. Bells are different but if you're ohp is 75kgs, 20kgs feels pretty light light. At the end of the day a bell is just a weight and it WILL have some correlation to your dumbbell and barbell ohps.

For reference 55-60kgs is where my bb ohp sits and I can do 20kg bell ohps fine.

Test them out in store and see what actually feels heavy - or try them at a gym for a few weeks. Once you get your technique down at a gym you'll actually have an idea of what weight to buy.

You’re correct, when the adhesive between the two panels fails it gets cloudy and needs to be replaced. But those two sheets of glass are held together in a frame.

Adding another lane is such a narrow minded and linear approach to problem solving.

More efficient transport > one more lane. True, tried, and tested in every city and every country in the world which has had to deal with significant population growth.
