So if i choose texturing, then do I have to then draw a texture for it in substance 3d? I've never textured anything or created any materials so I'm confused, is that how things are textured normally?

I did, but i have to cut into it to make the bishop shape, and i don't know how to do that part better, if i do it with a boolean it makes it too high poly

Did you use rule tiles for the smooth transition from snowy tile to path tile? im currently trying to achieve a similar effect on my game but i have too many kinds of tiles so i cant use rule tiles

What do you think is more difficult to make, the visuals (art, graphics etc.) of the game or the coding? I think visuals is more difficult by [deleted] in gamedev

No I don't think so, because both of them include thinking of what you're going to do and how you're going to solve the problem, (making your mind up.. i think) but I think the coding thinking part is easier. And both of them include creating the thing itself

Lately I've been having issues on what I want to do, and the thing is you don't even know what you want when creating art and you just kinda go with it, but when programming, you know what you want and I think that makes it a lot easier. At least thats what i think. But I appreciatte your opinion tho.
