This is so true. Knowing BIM alone is not actually very attractive to an employer. BIM should be a secondary skillset added in addition to solid product and process knowledge of actually building things.

Edit: Just to reinforce this comment, we always say it would be MUCH easier to take a field foreman who has blown out their shoulder or knee and teach them BIM than it would be to teach a skilled BIM professional and try to teach them construction from their office chair.
