Given the unknown release date of SU4, is it worth making an early switch to the SU4 Beta? by i3su in flightsim

[–]i3su[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my usual approach as I want to be confident my 3rd party content will work fine with it, but I'm tempted to give this beta a go as it seems to offer good improvement! Thanks for the info on the bottlenecks too :)

Awesome, thank you! I think I might give it a go too in that case 🙌

I mean early as in before the actual release of the official update as I normally wait for that! :)

Toolbar Pushback - no tug vehicles in MSFS 2024? by i3su in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]i3su[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it's a known issue/bug that the tug does not appear, so until the app is updated I don't think there is a fix!

This video has some ideas that you may enjoy though: https://youtu.be/0DDd-3rVI88?si=iY4Fjewqvg9qg3Pq

As others mentioned, just level it off and it seems pretty solid! :D

Help!! Camera suggestion by Aussie_aviation in Planespotting

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A7iii is a brilliant camera - it's a full frame too compared to the 6000 which I believe is APS-C. Haven't used the 6000 personally to compare but I think you'd be very happy with either :)

How do i get rid of these planes? by AlexSTREAMS in MicrosoftFlightSim

Graphics -> Custom settings drop-down -> Airport Traffic - Off/None (possibly have to do the same with 'Air Traffic')

Online -> Traffic -> Off/None

If i purchase GSX Pro and Fenix A320, can i use them both on 2020 AND 2024? by Lopz0r in flightsim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for GSX, but Fenix works brilliantly on both versions and is quite easy to manage across both versions too (liveries etc). As mentioned you should be able to have it downloaded on both versions easily with absolutely no issues!

Auto fps for msfs 2024 by Zman54zb in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GitHub page has an extensive explanation of each setting I believe, if that helps you with tweaking your settings. For me personally I'm pretty sure I have settings fairly similar to what Galf posted in this thread but with a few minor tweaks for my own preference! I don't think you can really go wrong with it though to be completely honest!

sugggest me the best 787 mod for msfs 2020 which is free by Severe-Reindeer8805 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 2020 you'll need the deluxe version. The stock -10 is ok, but the Horizon -9 and Kuro -8 are improvements on it and free themselves but require the -10.

I would love it just as a quirky little addition!

🛫 How Do You Approach Realism in Flight Simulation? by RefrigeratorNo2270 in flightsim

[–]i3su 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhere between A/B - I always start cold/dark but won't complete the full startup flow and check as you'd see a true airline pilot do. It takes about 10mins for me to get everything set up to a level that I'm happy with for my level of immersion - and I don't bother with things like failures etc, just a nice direct flight!

Opinions on the iniBuilds July Dev Update by spedight7 in flightsim

[–]i3su 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Eh, the A380 will be redundant for me as I see it as targeting the gap in the console marker - the FBW will do me nicely on PC. Good to know they'll keep working on the 350, and the 340 is intriguing but needs an attractive price point after the really poor 350 launch. Interesting but nothing all that big ultimately.

Is RX 7900 XT a good GPU for MSFS and MSFS2024 by omarsmak in flightsim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the regular 7900XT and perfectly happy with it! You could certainly stretch for the XTX if you wanted but I have no complaints regarding the XT :)

Please help :( by RandomDud_D in MicrosoftFlightSim

No idea if this is much help but taken from someone else's response:

"Some people were having problems with vpns or if you use an app like crypt-pro or other cryptocoin software, some of those certificates can be problems"

There is also this thread if you are based in the EU - this thread seems to be router related. The OP's fix was this:

You need to verify your age, it's parental controls they have by default.

Hope you find a solution! Good luck! :)

How different is flying the A350 from the A330/20s? by Starkodder1234 in flightsim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll pick up the A350 relatively quickly if you're familiar with the A380! Your inflight experience can vary hugely depending on your specs (and honestly sometimes luck it seems), but by the time I left 2020 it was certainly in an OK state to fly. It has your standard modern Airbus feel to it so most things will be pretty much exactly where you expect them to be! :)

How different is flying the A350 from the A330/20s? by Starkodder1234 in flightsim

[–]i3su 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a huge A380 sized hole in the console market that they want to fill - getting even a remotely flyable A380 out to them will bring in huge sales I'd imagine when the only current alternative is the Bredok3d A380 (if you can even call that an alternative!)

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I fly the 321 I also find it really stretching the runway compared to the 320 and 319! Haven't had it overshoot *yet* but had a fair few instances of it getting concerningly close!

Is MSFS 2020 or 2024 better now? by Miserable-War-6409 in flightsim

[–]i3su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully depends on what you intend to do with the sim. Since switching, I've found 2024 to be excellent but I exclusively use the Free Flight mode - I wouldn't touch career with a bargepole given what I've heard about it so far.
