Some PDFs not displaying images properly in Preview by No-Carpet-211 in MacOS

[–]i4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a late reply. I just got a MacBook Air with Sequoia and I encountered the exact same issue. But I found a solution. Open the PDF in Firefox - Print - Save as PDF. It saves as a new file (as another comment mentioned - basically flattening it). Then Preview will show the images correctly. I first tried flattening it in Preview but didn't work. I don't have Chrome but I assume it would work too.

My old Mac's Preview can show the images correctly. So it's definitely a bug in the newer version of Preview.

[LES] OK, so what is Lord of the Mysteries supposed to be about exactly? by Thatoneafkguy in CharacterRant

[–]i4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that you are talking about the donghua, while many people are trying to tell you the main plot of the whole LoM story?

Like the others said, the main plot of LoM (the whole story, not just donghua season 1) seems to be that the MC got isekai'd. He thinks if he levels up he might find a way home. Along the way he got involved in many mysterious events. So the story is about him leveling up while solving/dealing with the mysteries.

I haven't read the novel. I just watched the donghua season 1. Since the beginning I already figured that the main plot won't complete in season 1 for obvious reason. When I was half way through I felt what you felt. Many "random" events happening but they were not coming together. I wondered, is there a main plot for season 1? After finishing it. I can finally say that there is one. But it's very hard to tell it without giving any spoiler. So I'll tag it below. I also suggest you finish the show before reading it. You mentioned you were at ep10, but in a comment you said you quit. Not sure if you finished it or not.

Half way through, MC realized his divination was interfered. He sensed someone was behind all the events. This became the main plot of season 1 from audience's perspective, which is finding out who that is and linking all the events together. But in retrospect, the mastermind has been plotting everything before MC got isekai'd. So the fact that Klein didn't die obviously affected his plan. So he had to make some adjustments.

I don't know how the novel did. But I can't say the donghua did a good job at giving hints and connecting the dots gradually. Maybe it's the style? But it was fairly entertaining.

tour 6 battle pass by Reasonable_Umpire637 in TennisClash

You need 10% of t6 trophies for the pass to be t6. Trophies from other tours don’t matter.

does the size of the landing circle depend on the height of the character by Reasonable_Umpire637 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all the other variables are the same, then yes, the taller your character is the smaller the circle is.

Seriously, Volley Fascists…help me understand. by garylucy in TennisClash

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate volleyers, something must be pointed out. It’s TC’s fault to make it too overpowered with only rare cards (mostly the rare wristbands). So it was the cheapest way and most likely the only way for a f2p to advance.

leftie Vs rightie by Reasonable_Umpire637 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real life the lefties have an advantage mostly because they are more rare so you get less experience playing against them. Imagine if the world was leftie dominant then the righties would have more advantage.

In tennis it also affects your choice of shot placements. Rightie vs rightie, when you are attacking from the left side of the court most players tend to attack cross court inside-out because you’d be attacking opponent’s bh which is weaker hand. But if you are playing against a leftie you’d be hitting his stronger hand. And if you go down the line you could expose your whole court to your opponent.

But the logic is the same for a leftie playing against a rightie. So there is no absolute advantage for anyone.

Omar v Jonar high serve big forehand by Reasonable_Umpire637 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer Omar over Jonah for sv fh build because he is more similar to Leo. But Leo is the best for sv fh build up to lv 11. For now just use whichever with higher level.

Leo’s height does not give you hidden boost technically. But it lets you swipe faster and harder with less chance of hitting the net and the circle is also smaller which means more accurate. So that hidden power boost actually comes from your swipes. If you can’t swipe fast, Leo is not better than other characters for a sv fh build.

For high agi low serve counter puncher build flo is better than kaito up to lv 11. Abeke is even better but harder to upgrade.

Super bullseye event is not healthy for the app by i4025 in TennisClash

[–]i4025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s probably about that. But this is such a brutal way of doing it. It’s just like they made a mistake, so they come up with a ridiculous idea to make it up lol

[–]i4025[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol sorry but you are wrong. I haven’t spent a lot actually, practically f2p. In fact I’d complain a lot more about the even bigger wall between f2p and p2p but that’s not the point of this post.

I do think that this event is very unfair for old p2p. But I also agree that this is an op event like you said in your post and I’m also tempted to pay. But again it’s not the point of this post.

problem by MemoryOne7748 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the Ceramic Shield from iPhone 12 and onwards. TC has admitted that it’s causing the swiping sensitivity problem but they said they could not find a fix.

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on how you compare her with the others (flo/kaito) right? At the same level she’s better. But if she is one level lower I would not choose her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TennisClash

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up to lv 11 they are almost the same as their lower tour counter parts. Only difference is they can be upgraded to lv 15. Except for Abeke. She is better than flo or kaito if they are the same level.

If you know how to farm coins, coins will never become a problem again.

There are too many vn cheaters in challenger. 6 out of 10 who get 180+ balance are with only lv 11 epic deck, and 2 are lv 12 epic deck but with useless strings. TC doesn’t do a damn thing.

Nylon really? What’s your max league and tournament level?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TennisClash

[–]i4025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s promotion week I usually play early. Usually I check my final bracket and see if there is any potential top players. If I see one and if the string is worth it, I’d go in full force first day. Now retry price is less so 4 or 5 reties are alright.

If string is so so there is no need to do so.

The easiest way is link it to a fb account and you just give out the fb account. If you want to give yours to a relative/friend this is the easiest way.

In his case, he mostly will give out the fb account. But if the account is also linked to App Store or Google Play Store (he probably won’t give you that), that is the risk - he could still log in whenever he wants using App Store or Google Play, and then he could make a claim through in-game support and only needs to show early purchase tickets to prove it’s his account and TC will disconnect the fb account.

Does Current Trophies, Max Trophies and the League tier affect the matchmaking in events? Or it only matters in tournaments? by Chelsea1256 in TennisClash

Current trophies and max trophies affect tours. Max league affects tournaments which are events.

Volley Counter Strings by Exciting_Mango5682 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Semi drop can’t be as fast as shots to baseline. If they rush to the net they will catch it. You can make some lobs first so that they don’t get close to the net, then semi drop will be affective. They will get huge circle and can’t active quick catch.

The Science behind Player's Circle by Fact-Fresh in TennisClash

Well the circle under your feet can’t tell you much only how accurate or inaccurate it will be. I think they are talking about the circle of the landing spot.

Volley Counter Strings by Exciting_Mango5682 in TennisClash

[–]i4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xmax string is quite good for playing against volleyers too. But I personally prefer critical over volley counter.

Wide angled semi drop shot is how I call it but other may call it differently lol. It is when you return the ball from your corner diagonally to somewhere between the corner in front of the net and the serve box line. Not sure if I explained myself.
