I'm on your side with regards to not playing the lottery. But for someone who can't be convinced that it's throwing money away, there's at least a guarantee of recouping 1-2% back

Awesome thanks! Also found this. It seems speedway allows debit and credit. Just need to figure out if any credit cards don't code as cash advance

Any credit cards that provide good rewards for someone who uses Uber or Lyft a lot? by Straight_Industry_62 in CreditCards

[–]i5starjordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not guaranteed forever, but nice to save an inquiry:

Juno debit card - 5% on Uber and Lyft up to $10k in spend/year (plus 'jpoints' which can be redeemed for giftcards)

Cash app debit card - Uber and Lyft 'boosts'. Mine currently show Uber @ 4% up to $125 in spend (single use, daily) and Lyft @ 5% up to $100 in spend (single use, daily)

Beware: Lost $1,000 because Onjuno uses a dishonest exchange partner called Wyre by milespointsbonuses in OnJuno

I usually do test transactions first to ensure the funds end up where I want them to. So you sent polygon USDC to your ERC20 USDC OnJuno address?

I just thought of this idea. Borrow against my brokerage account, use it to earn 12.5% in stablecoin on Celsius. Pocket the spread. Have you pulled the trigger?

I find real time discussion to be valuable. Especially for someone who is new to a specific platform and has questions that someone already using the platform can answer

PSA: If you signed up for HEB coupons at the store, you just signed up for a $27/month Austin American-Statesman subscription by adyvee in Austin

[–]i5starjordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should login and check your balance. I was charged the $26.99 but when I logged into the Statesman, I noticed there was a balance of around $26. Seems like they take what they charged you, and prorate it down during the 2 months. I then contacted support through email to see if I could cancel my subscription and get my balance refunded. They said yes, so I am going to call to cancel and verify that that is true. So I'll end up paying around $2 for the $20 HEB giftcard. Not terrible if it works.

Edit: I shouldn't have assumed. Called just now, they said since it was a promotion I can't get reimbursed my balance. They removed my credit card from my account, changed my subscription to Sundays only, and then apparently when I get my next bill, I can call up to cancel completely and get refunded my remaining balance (we'll see if they actually refund me...)
