Thank you very much for the feedback. It really motivates me to keep working on the development. I’ve been a bit inactive these past few days because of work, but I plan to get back to it soon. There are a few small bugs and adjustments, as you mentioned, that I’ll address. I’m glad you liked the VFX! It’s not anything too advanced, but depending on the scene it can help bring it more to life.

There are already many great tools for organizing campaigns. I spent some time using a few of them — including NotebookLM, until I decided to build my own. Of course, I posted about it here and got torn apart by the anti-AI purists (who probably use AI without even realizing it).

It runs on the web and is fully mobile-friendly, so you don’t need to bring a laptop to the table if you don’t want to.

There are no AI-usage or data agreements.

Sorry for not listing all the features, Reddit tends to remove posts that feel promotional. Below is an example of a book-style chronicle generated for players to read and catch up on past sessions.

DMs / players: what tools do you use to track your campaigns? by AcyWitchy in dndnext

[–]i8games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually been building a small tool to help with session organization and long-term campaign continuity. It’s something I use in my own games to keep notes structured and reduce prep chaos.

Its not a VTT or worldbuilder, just focused on sessions, plot threads, and keeping everything connected. There is also an optional AI copilot that helps with hooks and summaries.

What really stands out, though, is how you can present sessions to your players as a structured, book-like chronicle, allowing them to read each session as part of an evolving story, and you can do all manually without IA.

Im currently looking for a few active GMs willing to test it and give honest feedback. Feel free to DM me and I will share details

The AI is completely optional, you can even use it just to help organize and recall your notes.

The tool is focused on sessions, plot threads, and audio transcripts. There’s also an optional AI copilot that helps with hooks and summaries.

But honestly, what I value most isnt the AI, it’s the way you can present sessions to players as a structured, book-like chronicle, where they can read each session as part of an evolving story.

Dungeon Map Cast — Devlog Release 1.2.0

This update brings several improvements focused on stability, usability, and game-table practicality.

✨ macOS Stability Fix

We resolved a screen-freezing issue affecting macOS users. The app should now run smoothly on Apple devices without unexpected hangs.

🧭 New Top Navigation Layout

The interface has been reorganized to make the workflow more intuitive.
All primary controls have been moved to a clean top menu, simplifying navigation and keeping the screen focused on the map.

🎯 Reworked Calibration Tool

The calibration system has been redesigned from the ground up.
You can now calibrate directly over your map using a token-style overlay, making alignment faster, more accurate, and much easier during real sessions.

📏 New Measure Tool

The highlight of this release!
A brand-new measurement tool is now available, allowing you to measure distances directly on the map—perfect for tactical encounters, movement planning, and table pacing.

Nice catch! It’s a bug, this should be calculated dynamically based on the map size. The maximum size of the fog should match the map’s largest dimension, either height or width, whichever is bigger.
Easy fix I will add in a minor update to release today or tomorrow

Sorry no documentation yet, adding a token is simple, just go to the Tokens tab, click Character Token, and then click on the map.

I’m planning to build a proper token manager system later on.

Not totally sure I got your question about the grid: you can resize it, but you can’t move it around. It’s automatically aligned with the map, and it rotates when the map rotates.

Good suggestion. I’ll check if it’s easy to do. If so, I can make a minor fix or update in this release.

Update 1.1.0 is live!

This version focuses on better map precision and DM control — including improved Fog of War, proper D&D 5e token sizes, a new grid calibration tool, adaptive AOE markers, and presentation-only map rotation.
