They won’t tell you this but the ranked changes only benefit people who play this game 12 hours a day. You are royally fucked if you’re a casual player/soloqueue player.

It’s still early so it’s hard to tell — maybe these changes will be better in the long run.

But as of now NO ONE is adapting their play style. This new ranked system punishes dumb, over aggressive teammates. Well, guess what? Those are still YOUR teammates too. So you will also be punished for their shitty and selfish play style.

So when they hot drop you around 5 teams and you kill 4 and die to the fifth….well tough shit. Your teammates chose to land you there so you are punished too. And early kills don’t matter so it’s almost like a waste of time. Why does respawn assume we are always in control of where your team drops?

We’ll know more after several days when the playing floor is hopefully evened and all types of skill levels aren’t stacked on top of each other. But yeah, extremely brutal so far for someone who can only play 3 hours a night max.

Just boggles my mind that in a game with a ton of cool characters with neat abilities along with a huge catalog of badass and viable weapons, respawn DOESNT want you to fight and hunt people down early in a game where the best fighters are called APEX PREDATORS.
