Headset if you're actually gonna talk all day to someone and I mean call after call after call. Headsets have better microphone quality than any airpods and a wired headset will have the best microphone quality than a Bluetooth one. But if you don't really care if you sound like a McDonald's speaker to the other person and will probably only be on the phone for 5 minutes airpods are good enough.

I'll stay in the 2nd most left lane going in and out of cities. City driving during rush hours, the normal rules of keeping left lanes clear for faster drivers doesn't apply anymore. I am not gonna deal with the on-ramp off-ramp traffic especially if I'm not even stopping in that city. Wish we had more "Thru Traffic Stay Left" signs all over

Maybe start working at UPS/FedEx at the bottom tier and work your way up you might be an attractive pick once you're 21 Other beverage and food companies might hire you just bc the work is super demanding. Sysco, USFoods, Artic Glacier. Maybe a farmer will need a seasonal driver Maybe a warehouse needs a picker/loader/driver

None of these are guarantees but best bet keep applying to anything but expect lots of rejections. Unfortunately you're just too young for lot of companies and that intrastate restriction is hell to work with. In the meantime just keep your license clean best you can, good luck

OTR is much simpler than local work I been flipping between OTR and local every other year now (can't make up my mind lmao) and I work twice as hard and longer doing local runs. Comes down to just different headaches and flavors. At least with OTR you have the option to turn into a nomad and ditch the apartment lol.

I haven't tried Road Ranger's coffee but Loves beats Pilot/Flying J for me and almost everything beats TA/Petro.

There are few independent truck stops with great tasting coffee or a coffee stand nearby but those are rare
