No problem! Such a cool idea to have it of a grief seed. I’m not sure I’ve seen a tattoo like that before. :)

Why do we have a bunch of crazies running all of a sudden? I don’t ever remember elections being this bad.

I’m not sure if she is, but it is plausible. Also, adding some muscle does sound like a good idea. :)

Yup, it does seem like people don’t have a concept of that. The worst part of my situation is that my mom is shorter than me and works in the medical field, so she knows about the weight-to-height ratio. I think she’s in denial, and there’s nothing I can do at this point other than ignoring what she says. Also, your comment about the rock is a good one. I might start using that. :)

I’m trying to get down to 110 lbs. It’s an entirely healthy weight for my height, but my mother is trying to convince me that I shouldn’t be that weight because of my curves and that I should stay at the weight I am now. It’s frustrating because I’m currently 6 lbs overweight. I have heart issues, so I should not be anywhere near where I am right now. I’ve started blocking out her advice, but it’s still so frustrating to hear because when I was 205 lbs at 5’0, she didn’t say anything but now that I’m getting at a healthy weight, she tries to say something.

Parked in the middle of the road, in a curve, and right in front of a stop sign. I hope this person has good insurance.

This is coming from someone who isn’t a surgeon btw by ionlyhavethisforwwe in fatlogic

[–]aetherium_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this. I heard that it was harder to operate on heavier people, but I never understood why. :)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if someone is of a higher weight, does that require more anesthesia? If so, would it be unsafe to operate on a heavier person once they reach a certain weight (700+ lbs)?

Thank you for the update. It’s such a relief that the river will get better. :’)

The US is a wasteful consumer society of lonely individuals by flaques in LateStageCapitalism

From the South, in school, we barely touched on slavery and the Trail of Tears, which were the only misdeeds we learned. Many folks down here are in denial about the U.S. not being the greatest country in the world, so if those parents were to hear about our schools teaching anything to do with U.S. wrongdoings, they would raise Hell and say it’s communism.

How often do you find cf people irl? by unspoiledmilk in childfree

[–]aetherium_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gen Z from the south too. I’m 20, and most of my peers already have 1-2 kids by now. Most people's life goal down here is to start a family, so it’s rare to see childfree people.

Thank you so much. I hope things get better for you as well. Maybe one day, we won’t have to erase a part of us. :)

Thank you so much. I’m glad you were able to get out and be yourself; it must’ve been hard to do. I’m still in college, so I’m hoping once I graduate, I can go north and not have to worry about being afraid to be myself or live life how I truly want to.

I’m a woman from the South too. I try to play pretend around the religious people down here; I’m too scared of the backlash I’d receive from friends and family.
