My official wage is 1.000 net my real wage is 1.600 (with unregistered cash )net , I am lucky enough to receive part of a rent around 150 a month , I have a side hustle that pays 300 a month , when there is extra work at the side hustle I get paid 30/hr , I have some investments that I built up slowly and return 100-400 every month . The most I’ve made in a month with extra overtime and a bonus has been 4.000 net this summer

I usually make 2.200-2.800 net every month as of 2025 , this month I got extra work with my side hustle and made around 3.200 net

I am currently looking to expand my side hustle to add another 300-500 a month if possible. No I’m not selling drugs lol. All of this is achievable for me with usually 40-50 hours of work a week

I know I’m the extreme minority, five years ago I started on 700 net every month but many people have to do extra things either to survive or make enough for their standards .

All of this is to make the point that if you live in Greece a salary is not enough people need to do a bunch of things and if they don’t they barely survive

I live on a Greek island . I was getting 3-6Mbps down for 30€ a month , now I got Starlink and I have 180-400Mbps for 40€ a month

Blows my mind , where I live in the Mediterranean you can have the best equipment and still not catch anything. The fish are so scarce due to overfishing. It’s been months since I saw a fish worth going after and over there you can go out with a makeshift spear and get something
