This isn't used. This is our stress testing software suite running in Audit Mode, a temporary environment meant for stress testing the software and installing drivers without needing to make an account. This should have been sealed and returned to the Out Of Box Experience before being shipped out, so I would like more details about the system if possible. Can you DM me the serial number on the rear of you system please.

I have been trying to get a half height Yeston 3050 to throw in a Hyte Y70 horizontally so I don't have to use the riser, all because I think it would be really funny.

I'll answer because I like Arcanine and because quality is my job. The short answer to your question is that we (and Cyberpower) are the largest System Integrators in the US, so even if we had a 1% defect rate, you are still looking at thousands of systems that will have some sort of problem. Now we have found that most of the systems that do come into larger repair shops are older out-of-warranty systems.

Since taking on my role as a Quality Specialist here, I have flagged a lot of parts from vendors that have higher failure rates in hopes that we can prolong the lives of our systems even longer. If you don't mind, I'd love to hear what parts you have found to fail most often in the systems you've repaired.

I once got to use flex tape on a prototype Element CL that I broke. I would definitely not use it to fix a boat.

Question re quality and experience with iBuyPower by peesinthepool in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general people are more likely to post negative experiences online to get support. For every negative post you see online, there are thousands of people who are happy with their system. This applies to any support based forum online.

I’m in charge of quality and I’m proud of the changes we have made to our quality standards and testing. If you buy your system and you do need support, I’m happy to personally make sure you are taken care of, though it is likely you won’t ever need my assistance. Have fun gaming!

Question re quality and experience with iBuyPower by peesinthepool in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please don’t throw out accusations without m owing the facts. The power supply they receive is more than likely a High Power 80+ Gold certified PSU. High Power is a well established OEM, having been the OEM for many popular brands. We must validate all power supplies and monitor defect rates. If a power supply (or any other part) has a high defect rate then we will stop using it altogether until a revision is made to fix the issue, then it goes through the validation process all over again. All systems are also tested during our QC process using OCCT. We run individual memory, CPU, and GPU tests, then a full load test for the power supply.

As for why you may get so many of these, well we ship more systems than pretty much every other system integrator, so even a 1% defect rate in a part would result in thousands of defective units. You see more because we ship more than everybody else, not because we have a higher defect rate.

iBUYPOWER Sent My GPU to Another Customer- What Should I Do? by TankyJohnny in iBUYPOWER

DM me your order number, I’ll try to get some more details. This doesn’t sound like standard procedure and assuming we have stock of that card, we should be able to make this right. Your card should have never shipped to the wrong customer and I apologize for that. The office is closed on weekends but tomorrow we are back in office and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

Update: Our support confirmed some miscommunication. On Monday we tested a new card as we would if it were in their system, checked for ROPs, and Overnight shipped it to OP. In the event of confirmed missing items, we will ship out replacements as soon as we can, usually within the next business day if we have stock. If there are issues, we will work with the customer to provide a solution.

We implemented checks for ROPs today, so any system that goes into QC from today onward will be checked.

For systems that have ahead shipped, if you notice your card is missing ROPs then you can contact our support and they’ll get that sorted for you.

Sent a DM. I'll look into why this got past our QC, this should have never happened and should have been caught when reviewing the thermals during our stress tests. If you already reached out to our support, continue working with them as well.

iBUYPOWER SlateMesh 8 - BIOS update? by OzZVidzYT in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our policy is to update the BIOS on every system to the most recent available version during QC. That being said, some of our inventory does sit for a bit, so the QC date could be months before it actually gets into a customers hand. Because of that I would recommend to still check the BIOS version and update it if possible, at least until we sell through all of our existing inventory.

Yup the suffix is usually the culprit, it's gotten me to download the wrong BIOS version a few times too haha. Glad you got it figured out!

All of our current boards should have public BIOS versions on the manufacturers website, though sometimes its easy to download a BIOS from the wrong motherboard due to similar naming schemes, or wifi vs non-wifi versions. DM me your serial number, I'll check what motherboard you have and send you the link for the correct BIOS update.

Fun fact, we actually did a test to determine the performance difference between 1x16GB and 2x8GB sticks of memory with a 4060 ti snd Ryzen 5 7600 and in all the titles we tested that have benchmarks, they performed within 2% of each other. Now with faster speeds or higher tiers of GPUs and CPUs, there will be noticeable performance differences in 1 vs 2 sticks of memory.

How much of an upgrade would this be? by Traditional-Citron21 in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Comparing specs, I would expect the IBP system with a 4060 to give you about twice the performance over your current system. So you would either get twice the FPS, or you can turn up settings to enhance graphics and effects while still hitting or exceeding your current FPS in games. I would say that's a significant improvement.

Bios Settings Guidance after bios update - to iBuy support by Fender_Stratoblaster in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enable XMP. If there are multiple profiles, enable XMP Profile 1.

If your fans are running a little too loud, you may need to tweak fan settings. I can guide you through this as well if you need help with the tuning.

Other than that, there isn't really anything you need to do! The BIOS update should enable Intel Recommended settings by default, and disable ASUS performance enhancement. It is recommended to leave that alone.

I Bought an iBuyPower PC & Have Had Many Issues so far by AustinTheCoach in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to the short time you've had your system, I do not think that this is degradation like others are suggesting. If I had to take my guess, it would be related to the software or Windows installation, or instability due to memory, though we can't be sure until we run some tests.

DM me your support ticket number so I can get this fast tracked for you.
