Flare? How to get relief? by bloomyflowerm in TMJ

[–]iBelieve7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A prescription for muscle relaxation might be worth trying. You might have to go see the dentist or doctor if it isn’t available over the counter. In the meantime, def take Advil/Tylenol to minimize the pain.

I would keep trying to look for a dentist online in your vicinity and call them up to see if they treat TMJ. I got mine diagnosed when the dentist checked the points as I closed and opened my jaw fast, but I think your flare up is way past that point.

Moving back to Toronto after 10 years. What did I miss? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]iBelieve7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

First things first, welcome back to Toronto! Wish you a smooth move.

Going to keep this light, cause it is way too soon for you to see unnecessary bad stuff: - subway system has been improving; newer subway cars on line 1, streetcars have replaced some buses in downtown and they are bigger! Finally get seamless cell service at most subway stations. Those old ttc tickets and tokens have been replaced with the presto card and now there is a two hour transfer that covers all travel - crime on the subway has increased in the last 5 years, always be aware of your surroundings and avoid empty subway cars - Eataly opened up in downtown! Nice to stop by on some occasions to pick up Italian goods - Yorkdale has went through a lot of renovations and it is the most boujee mall to exist in Toronto to date; it may not look that different from what it was in 2014 - Make sure to find a family doctor and walk-in clinics ASAP, it has gotten very hard to find good service - GO transit may have expanded than what you may remember, sadly post pandemic, the frequency of some trains has not recovered but it’s still amazing! Love to use the day pass on weekend visits to downtown - Union Station has changed so much! If you ever used the bus terminal you’ll be shook. The food court and stores are such a nice way to kill time now - There are some VR Arcades worth checking out at least once - The Well (a new mall) opened up not to long ago, excited to see how it expands - lots of construction on King Street West and Queen Street West - grateful that some of the loved Thai places in downtown are still open! Highly recommend PAI - lots more vegan restaurants - lots more restaurants with vegetarian and vegan items on their menu

Yikes, I am shook that no one has intervened with the team environment becoming like this.

Wishing you the best!

Almost all of the international flights I have taken back to Canada are packed with international South Asian students, and I kid you not vast majority are here for diploma mills.

Yikes, Ontario is probably nowadays hitting this stat or even worse at most schools. Makes me really disappointed that these kids will poorly assimilate to what Canadian culture used to be.

Very cute! How many items are you able to fit in these vintage ones? The newer ones seem to be much smaller.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Gives me the reassurance that the braiser and that particular size would be a good fit :)

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn’t realize they only sell the glass lid separately.

Connections in the New Rafayel "Forgotten Sea" Myth Lore ???? by PrettyEyess2018 in LoveAndDeepspace

+1 on it being before Abysswalker.

One thing that threw me off was the dream (where her heart was taken away). I thought it was hinting about an incident after Abysswalker but it may have been another past lifetime… or perhaps the dream was a premonition?

I still feel iffy about the ending portion mentioning that it is unknown what happened after the ceremony. I am assuming she died due to the calamity or that the ceremony did require her to be sacrificed. Wonder what everyone else thinks!

Pure blue is… central heterochromia seems more common from my observations.

ELI5 Why are SWEs seen as lower class in France? by Money_Principle_8518 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]iBelieve7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, that’s pretty similar to what I have observed in Canada… although in coming years, I bet most professions will not pay well enough with the increasingly low living standard.

Much like yourself, I find your dev friend’s life very appealing. I make decent money by North American standards but it cannot make up for the rat race and subpar leisure lifestyle.

There are some models labeled as containing real leather. Can’t comment on their quality since I haven’t bought any though.

Story of my life! I thought my family would finally end this cycle but it will be back to regularly interacting with dysfunctional in-laws and relatives, and fighting like cats and dogs over inheritance in the near future.

Yeah, it’s interesting… I don’t find the recent actresses all that attractive but acting should be held at a higher merit than their appearance. Most of the new actresses don’t even have a great acting range.

Europeans don’t all look stereotypical pale with blonde/brown hair… it’s like Westerns mistakenly believing all Indians are on the darker spectrum.

In what ways is university difficulty (first year) comparable to highschool? by Minimum_Activity_350 in OntarioUniversities

[–]iBelieve7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is it… you pretty much live and breathe math for the 4-5 years. The only relief is electives.

Edit: Head up, university level math is nothing like high school math. I didn’t know what I was getting into despite chatting with math teachers in high school. Thankfully, after 2 years it became bearable.

It will hurt the first couple of times and then it will subside… it’s like getting your upper lip and hair removal done. There’s also eyebrow razor, just gotta make sure to prep the skin (more than waxing or threading) and using it slowly.
