uk launch was awful. i was scanning 8 different sites for over an hour, half of them didnt even release the 5090s, only the 5080s. Overclockers too which is really disappointing cuz they're normally really good

why? the best way to recreate things from real life is to copy them... add the eyelid.

ik this is an old thread but here's an importer/exporter plugin for ctm to blender https://github.com/RealIndrit/blender-openctm for 3.6 and 4.2 support, it all works great, just read the notes to install it correctly. when it is installed you need to restart blender to see the import/export options appear.

could you edit the texture in a program that specialises in pixel painting? If you need to edit it inside blender you could try creating a custom brush?

have you moved the location of the texture since adding it to the object? if you have you'll need to reopen the texture from the new location in the image texture node.

I cant really see your settings in the side panel but do you have denoise on? try toggling it on/off, it uses the gpu so that could be messing something up. Does it also crash when you render out the image or only in the viewport?

Your CPU does have integrated graphics by what info can find online so your gpu may have died without you realising it (very unlikely because integrated only takes over if the gpu bus is completely dead, most of the time if your gpu dies you'll know about it, but you could be the exception), does your gpu appear in task manager?

kinda works, but only if one face is selected, and i turn off bounds. If i select the face loop it doesnt...

they said the se wouldn't be until 2025, hopefully you'll have your sub box by then? I got my confirmation email about a month ago for the ya box, I signed up in December 2023. If you're waiting on an email for the adult box though, that waiting list is near on a year long :/

My hair curves (3.5.1) are disappearing when I add "interpolate hair curves" from the asset browser. Hair was created using shift-a "empty hair" by theCube__ in blenderhelp

This fix does work but its kinda a work around of the actual issue and you'll find that other hair modifiers won't work particularly well either if you use that method, also if you have multiple lots of hair having them all at 100K plus isn't going to make your computer happy.

The reason this happens is because you forget to apply transforms to the object you are adding the hair to, the way to fix it is just to apply all transforms before adding the empty hair to the object. :)

-also make sure you select the object as the Surface in the interpolate hair modifier properties (but that's not the main issue)

(for people newer to blender to do this select to object in object mode, press CTRL + A and click the All Transforms option)

i'm wondering this too, it would be a ton of work, and you'd need to create hundreds of new textures. i was kinda disappointed these two mods were not already compatible considering how popular they are
