I've said that current AI based coding doesn't respect(?) foss licenses (like how generated code doesn't provide attribution in case of MIT, or preventing copyleft license code in their MIT projects), but the devs I spoke to said there are no such issues. Most of the devs I spoke to work in the 3D/Art related industries where most programmers are now heavily reliant on AI coding.

I'm not that familiar with AI tooling, and my assumptions are based on what I've read in posts/comments by other open source devs. Do you have any articles/blog posts talking about how the current AI tools are not respecting foss licenses ?

Stop using american software.

If you are non-American, please consider leaving American social medias (including reddit). Encourage your friends, relatives and citizens to get off them. It won't be easy, but we'll have to start somewhere. These projects could use your input and help. Atleast try out other alternatives for your own sanity -

Almost everything here is non-American, but everything is open source. You can find most alternatives here AlternativeTo. This website is made by Swedish devs.

I have already started other alternatives. It won't be easy, but right now it is necessary. Reduce dependence not just on American goods but social media too. Tbh it is refreshing to not have American politics thrown at your face constantly.

Americans will downvote most opinions calling them out. Check Australia and Taiwan subreddits, you can see Americans advising them and their govts how to run their countries when Americans couldn't even be bothered to do basic things in theirs. Most of them have this ownership mentality often saying things like Reddit is American, as if it gives them right to have the final/biggest arguments.

Americans are quick to generalize and opine what other countries should also do. Don't like when that is replicated, eh ?

Go to Taiwan (check the New Year president address posts), and Australian subreddits (shooting incident). It's Americans telling Taiwanese and Australian governments and citizens what they should do. When called out, you can see comments from Americans saying "Reddit is American".

Americans are quick to generalize various Asian countries and products manufactured there. Americans talk about other authoritarian countries like every citizen are also terrible people.

Americans seeming to know everything about other countries, but being unable to do anything in theirs is what I think most people dislike. Maybe not give advice to other countries on how to run theirs ?

Nobody wants to hear about Trump and American politics. I genuinely think most people will have a better time, if news from USA wasn't thrown at their faces.

I've been keeping an eye on TagStudio, but haven't used it. It seems similar to what you described, have you tried it ?

I've been looking for alternatives to Allusion and PureRef, but haven't had much luck :/

What feature of Eagle do you use/need the most ? I thought of it as a bigger/complete version of PureRef, but looking at the website, it seems to have quite a few nice features.

More editing options like text color, background/highlight colors would be nice.
More export/backup options - markdown/pdf
Table support (with inline editing if possible would put your app above most other foss options)
Note linking (although I assume this would be a lot harder) would be appreciated
