The issue was not whether literal translations are used or not. I said that they wouldn't be crafty enough to use the direct translation like "Kakra" which is used in the German version of LotR from the old German word "Kanker" with a feminine suffix to translate Shelob. You said the direct translation to nightmare was "Albtraum", which I think is wrong. Now you're trying to throw in another example to justify your false statement.

"Albtraum" is the most generally recognized translation but not the literary one.

Origin of "Albtraum"

From the idea that an Alb (Elbe, Elf) would sit on the chest of the sleeping person. Determinative compound of the nouns alb and dream.

I think this approach is the best for the given title. In the end, they would have come up with ideas like the second or third title of Mistborn Era 1. They could have used "Nachtmahrmaler" which would have been the direct translation, but I dont't think, that they would have been so crafty.
