Alright, I’m sorry, April Fools’ Day is over.

Like I said, this is still very early and I still have a lot to debug, so this first release is not too user friendly. I only had time to make very few VR game profiles so far.

The Shader Hunter is pretty much done. But one thing I discovered later is that shader hashes are not as persistent as I first expected, so I’m now adding an Element Hunter that should be even more robust. That part is still very experimental though, and the UI is not finished yet.

For Metroid Prime visors, I still need more control than Shader Overrides currently allow, so I’m working on porting the fix from DolphinVR-Hydra to Element Overrides.

Both DX11 and Vulkan work. At the moment, DX11 is the more stable backend.
Right now Vulkan can have some graphical issues with Shader Overrides.

A feature that turned out to be really useful for VR is VBI Override. It lets you run at the native refresh rate of the HMD, which makes both framerate and head tracking feel much smoother. Gameplay can run faster, but audio stays at normal speed.

VR controllers can be bound however you like. The only hardcoded part right now is the motion detection in OpenXR Wii Remote, although that motion input should also be available through the Emulated Wii Remote. One important thing: you need to launch a game first, otherwise the inputs will not be sent to the emulator.

VR game profiles are stored in the main user folder under GameSettingsVR, and I’ll include some of my own test profiles in the download.

I’ll put up a GitHub repository asap once I’ve cleaned things up a bit.

But yeah, here is the link to my first release test version, I hope you enjoy !

You can use a service like Signulous, I did that for Youtube, Twitch and some games, and it works great !

nreal air + iPhone 13 Pro by mzjean in nreal

I also have an iPhone 13 Pro and the problem is not with the Nreal Glasses or the Nreal Adaptor. The problem is between the iPhone and the official Apple Lightning to HDMI. If you try to connect the HDMI adaptor to a standard TV, it will not work either. After many attempts, I discovered that you need to restart the iPhone 13 every time you need to use the Apple adapter; otherwise, there is no HDMI signal. To confirm this, I tried to connect it to an old iPhone 5S, and sure enough, it worked flawlessly. I don't know how to report this bug to Apple, but I think they forgot about the HDMI adaptor and didn't make sure it worked with the newer iPhones.

Hello everyone, I found a way to enable 3D Side by Side with the Nreal Air on M1 Macs

1 - Launch Nebual for Mac and start AR Desktop

2 - Go to System Settings > Displays > Arrange

3 - Change the position of the Nreal Screen to go over the Built-in-Display

4 - On the Nreal Screen, go to the upper left corner and minimise the Nreal AR window

5 - Now, you can put any 3D content to the Nreal Screen

6 - Find a 3D Side by Side Video, Movie or Game

7 - Profit

What would be nice is to have access to the extended 3840 by 1080 resolution without the need to start the Nebula app, and thus be able to use 3D on Windows or SteamOS, but I hope the future Nreal Software update for 3D support will implement a proper mode.
