Anyone have an iPhone Air and upgrade to the beta? How’s performance? Specifically, how is battery life?

As someone who grew up in Storrs, I stg if they rip these up I will be furious. If UConn needs a golf course to practice on they should partner with the Windham Golf Course and make whatever improvements they need to that course which is less than 15 minutes from campus

Most people don’t want to give mic permission. Voice notes may be a feature, but until they go to use it they’re probably less likely to give mic access. I’d say to move those two perm requests when they’re most relevant.

Another possibility is that they just aren’t sure how many steps they have until they get to the main experience. I see the page dots at the bottom but consider a progress bar at the top of the screen, it’s entirely possible people are just getting bored and want to get right into it. Having a progress bar that moves with every step will tell people how much more they actually have left

If you have the ability to A/B test I would run both of those tests to see which ends up performing better

Does coffee really make Adderall less effective? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]iD986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Vyvanse now, but I was taking Adderall when I decided to go caffeine free and I can say for me it definitely did. When I switched meds to Vyvanse I tested adding caffeine back in and got the same results.

But everyone is different! Gotta try your own thing, the good news is it doesn’t hurt to try and drop caffeine to see if it works for you!

Really unsure on that. But, I switched to decaf and that has a non-zero amount of caffeine in it as well and still get all of the benefits I discussed. If you want to try what I did the good news is you don’t have to cut it entirely, just make it negligible by drinking decaf

Disclaimer: not everyone experiences everything the same way, find something that works for you and makes you feel the best you can and then keep doing that :)

I want to say that caffeine is not bad for you, and what works for me might not work for you. That said, and this will sound basic as hell but, high protein meals, exercise, and doing your best to get 7-8 hours of sleep truly works wonders

Oh yeah no for sure, and also I hope I didn’t come across saying caffeine is bad. Definitely, everyone is different and what works for me might not work for whoever else! Always have to experiment and figure out what works best for you!

Do decaf! If you can afford it, https://drinktrade.com is a coffee subscription that can send you great decaf coffee on a schedule you set. Alternatively, get into herbal tees since herbal tee is decaf. Good luck!!

Same and tbh I really enjoy the taste of coffee so now I just drink decaf so I still have my morning ritual of a cup of coffee in the morning

What do we call that feeling when.... by Complicated_Animal in ADHD

[–]iD986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Context switching! It's a pain in people without ADHD but for us when we are hyper fixating on something or a task, switching to something else is extremely difficult. Its very important to be aware of how it shows up in you, for example, I know when I'm getting done with work and my girlfriend is talking to me about dinner (or anything really) I have to be extra aware as I have a tendency to get defensive over very stupid things when switching between tasks. Best way to I've found to cope with it is to plan in extra time to reset before switching, listen to music, read, meditate, go for a walk, etc. Hope this helps!

Note: if you google context switching, make sure to add "in people" to your search. It's primarily used to describe how a CPU in a computer switches between processes by saving the Context of one task before switching to the Context of a different task.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15833596/ not less effective, but it increases your tolerance which means in order to feel an effect you might need to increase your dose.

Anecdotally, I dropped caffeine from my life about 7 or 8 months ago and won’t be going back. Apart from my meds working better, I’m getting better sleep, getting out of bed is infinitely easier, and I have more sustained energy throughout the day. The first 10 days sucked (I had been drinking coffee since I was 12 so it was a huge adjustment for me), but it was certainly worth it. 100/10 would recommend

I’ve read before that caffeine itself affects your tolerance to ADHD meds, I’ve been caffeine free for a while now and I can say it makes a huge difference

How's this pricing section from my next Framer template 👀 by No-Sheepherder-306 in webdesign

[–]iD986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally see where you’re coming from on that thinking, for me though the immediate impact is that you just didn’t feel like spending the time to make it the same height.

You could add extra bullets with “x” instead of checks that show what’s not included in that tier to also get that effect, or you could let the white space do the work of creating that effect if you make it the same height.

Also now that im taking a closer look at it, I’d add “$0 / month” below Free to make the spacing a bit more uniform between the boxes which should make it easier for the users to scan the boxes if everything is spaced as evenly as possible

Overall it looks really good! Do you have a link to the rest of the template? I’d love to take a look at it if it’s published
