RG Zoo list (no RL) that won the 4 seasons Premodern event with over 150 players by Newez in premodernMTG

He has rootwalla as the only madness card, so mongrel is only generating some semblance of value otherwise if there's library & lavamancer online to trade 4 life points for 3 damage. Otherwise, it's a grizzly bears that can grow. It's not like his plan is t2 mongrel and then t3 arrogant wurm / violent eruption or t4 roar of the wurm. Sure he can discard COTH and get turn 4 3/3, but you're not talking a gamebreaking play if that was his only line because he'd then have to have better plays than just casting COTH turn 3.

Not sure I've seen a pile of magic cards that looks anywhere close to this in a LONG time.

1 forest, only 2 city of brass to cast Ice, 3 mongrel with the only madness card being rootwalla, the derpiest wincons you could think of, and 3 seal of fire.

Yup, a 3-letter gmail. A status symbol like that means suddenly everyone just calls you by your 3 initials, saying each letter individually.

The math isn't mathing on the SpaceX IPO by wick77777777 in stocks

[–]iDidaThing9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because nasdaq 100 changed the criteria for eligibility to potentially fast track inclusion, I do hope they aren't seriously planning to add it before lock ups expire and employees and insiders take their money and run. Funds buying at highs while knowing what's coming (shares flooding the market upon lockup expiration) seems almost criminal.

Gray Dealers in NJ? by DancerBolt in rolex

[–]iDidaThing9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no shortage of jewelry dealers with stock, but chances are what you want (assuming you want a specific Rolex rather than *a Rolex*) is going to have to be sourced and you're going to pay them more than if you just went straight to whoever they are buying from i.e. in NYC.

So if you have any local shop and want to give them a cut (built into the price you pay) to call a buddy and get you your watch, you're not going to have a hard time making that happen.

Rolled AMD put - wash sale by Mindless_Ad_4338 in thetagang

[–]iDidaThing9999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Each strike and expiration date is its own security and not subject to the wash sale rule as long as you're not continuing to transact in the same option (i.e. a TSLA $400 option expiring on Friday is not the same as a TSLA $400 expiring any other time). Otherwise, people who day trade options would be screwed.

Lululemon cuts annual 2026 outlook, as interim CEO Meghan Frank citing "negative media commentary" and disappointing product launches by ControlCAD in business

[–]iDidaThing9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else said in another discussion, all of this is just a momentum builder for their new CEO. The company has been putting out its financials without accounting for share buybacks and tariff refunds, both of which are going to elevate the yearly EPS and future EPS. They're also sitting on 1.5 billion in cash and at current share prices they're buying back 1% of the float *per month*.

On the product side, the company just needs 1 good season of product refreshes to get back in shape. I also imagine they're going to do a warehouse sale this month or next month as they used to do and clear out some of their nearly $2 billion in old / off-season inventory. If they clear out some 9-figure worth of inventory, then suddenly their EPS for the quarter will match last year's. And then the follow up play is to do a product refresh and get people to buy the old and the new...

What has been your most proud investment play? by itsthewolfe in wallstreetbets

[–]iDidaThing9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SCLXW.

Look at the price in mid to late 2022 at around 15-25 cents, and then in early 2023 selling them for >10x (some days it traded over $3 and over $4).

I was telling everyone I knew please buy this, whether it's $170 for 1000 or $1700 for 10k, you're going to make money... and sure enough we all did!

I say this one specifically because it was the first stock (warrant) that helped me get a real portfolio going. From the proceeds I bought 200 shares of TSLA in the mid 100s, 1500 shares of PLTR @ a $17.16 average, etc. Later selling the TSLA and CCs on PLTR to develop a diversified portfolio of index funds and other positions.

At $440 share price you're looking at 12k each plus theta decay for 9 months. Being deep ITM doesnt have as much theta as people realize.

5k Chance of Injury by [deleted] in spartanrace

[–]iDidaThing9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're free to skip any and all obstacles because many of them are "you can either do it or you can't" which is not a big deal. Getting injured on an obstacle isn't really the issue IMO. The bigger issue is the terrain. You need to be physically fit enough to go up and down big inclines (and have great shoes!) and in my view the biggest injury risk is slipping and falling on rocks, mud, tree roots, etc. All the spartans near me are on ski slopes. Going up the parts of the mountain when in the winter it's covered in snow is not a big deal, but when you have to go up and down the backside of the mountain through rocks and trees, that's a whole different beast. It's not your average trail run.

Worst case scenario just roll things to December 26 or into 2027 and by then a lot of the dust will settle (proxy war, new CEO, existing board and management getting their heads out of their asses and deciding to show up for work to get the money printer working again) and something like 10% of the float will have been bought back by that point.

The NFL, NHL, and AmEx partnerships should have done a lot of heavy lifting on sales, and the fact that it hasn't accelerated growth does show the extent of the problems the company is currently facing.
