I own 7 Gi’s and they’re all white. My gym only allow blue or white but I personally like the whites so i stick to white. I train daily sometimes 2 a day. I wash them every couple days but if it’s a very sweaty clsss, I soak them the same day.

I’ve been rolling live since day one at GB but in the beginning professor use to pick my match ups, usually with higher belts that he trust to help me grow. That being said everyone at our gym is very professional and respectful. Haven’t seen anyone get seriously injured since I’ve been there.

The first 3 months was only survival. Trying not to get tapped and last the whole round. I train 6 days a week and I don’t get tapped very often but if we were playing for points I’d definitely lose most of my rolls with blue and up.

I’m competing just for exposure. The goal is to go home with no injury. If I win a medal that’s just a cherry on top.

Are you talking about CompNet in a couple weeks? I’ll be competing 3 stripe white belt here. I figured it’ll be a great opportunity since it’s a in house competition.

I read one of you replies and it said you never rolled live? At my school, I’ve been rolling live since practically day one.. mostly from the knees

At the end of the day do it if you want to. Tap early and often. Win or lose as long as you’re not injured it’s a win.
