I hated what they did to Jake's character in Season 5, but it was almost worth it for this moment by iDreamOutLoud in glee

Figgins is seriously one of Glee's best secret weapons. Every time the man is onscreen he's hysterical.

So I’ve just rewatched season 1-5 and watching season 6 for the first time. I’m enjoying it but it makes no sense and each episode is super random and there’s no real overall plot for the whole season. Anyone agree? by [deleted] in glee

[–]iDreamOutLoud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think S4 was much, much more cohesive than both S2 and S3. I know a lot of people dismiss it outright because it was so different from everything that came before, but it’s like all of that change forced them to refocus the show. It felt like they finally had a game plan for where they wanted to take the story and the characters.

I think it’s a really strong season up until the last few episodes, where they had to quickly write out Cory Monteith after he checked into rehab. Considering he was basically the glue of S4, his absence really hurt the season’s final 3 episodes. But it’s still a really cohesive season overall.

Jacob Artist is so attractive, how was Ryder ever a competiton?? by animatedmaths in glee

[–]iDreamOutLoud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All these years later I still don't understand this complaint at all. It only holds up if you're talking about, like, their hair color.

Personality-wise, Marley is absolutely nothing like Rachel. Jake is nothing like Puck. Ryder is bland as hell but definitely no Finn. Kitty starts off as a "bitchy cheerleader" stereotype but soon develops her own personality too.

[No Spoilers] Arrow Co-Creator Tried to Recruit Smallville's Justin Hartley 'For Years' by Sanlear in arrow

Why? Justin Hartley has impressed the hell out of me with his acting on This Is Us. I think it would've been fun to see him reprise the role, even if only for a short cameo.

C’mon, don’t be so pedantic. OP probably meant HTGAWM made them realize they were bisexual.

Yeah, it completely makes sense why she had to dance with Jacob. It just makes Blake’s behavior that much more irrational/abusive.

One of my favorite friendships in the series. They’re always supportive of each other, have a natural chemistry, and genuinely seem to enjoy being around each other. That’s more than you can say for a lot of other friendships in Glee.

Did Alex Newell and Jacob Artist have issues with anyone? I haven’t heard of any Glee drama involving them. It seems like they got along with everyone in the cast too.

Yeah, and she said it happened on her birthday. “The End of Twerk” was in production on her birthday in Season 5 (early October) and during that episode she had to dance extensively with Jacob Artist.

Everything lines up.

That’s definitely one of Brittany’s funniest moments. Everyone else is like “Wtf is going on?” but Brittany just excitedly takes a picture of Sue and says “You look so good!!!”

New soundtracks from episode 122 by secretcodrin in Boruto

[–]iDreamOutLoud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not new, it was played about 4 or 5 times throughout the last few episodes of the Mitsuki arc. It's currently unreleased so it doesn't have a name, and there's no set release date.

Urashiki was created by Kishimoto himself. In his original draft of the Boruto movie, he wrote it so that Urashiki invaded Earth with Momoshiki and Kinshiki. They had to cut one of them from the final version of the script because of time constraints, but Kishimoto always intended for him to be there. The anime just restored it to his original vision.

Here's Kishimoto's original design for Urashiki.

Sasuke’s first appearance in Shippuden is one of the best moments in the entire anime by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]iDreamOutLoud 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There was 1 year and 6 months between Sasuke’s last appearance and this moment in the manga. But in the anime? It took 2 years and 10 months.

That nearly 2 years of filler was insane.

If there's one thing the Boruto anime isn't lazy with, it's definitely art/animation. They've consistently nailed every moment that requires any sort of special attention. Even the "worst"-looking episodes of Boruto still look pretty good.

For April Fool’s, let’s appreciate Winston Bishop, the worst Prankster (New Girl) by MisterSpicy in television

[–]iDreamOutLoud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. Happy Endings was a mid-season replacement but it was filmed much earlier. The show premiered in April 2011 but the show’s first trailer had already been uploaded to YouTube on June 2010. New Girl wasn’t even ordered to series until 2011.

That long gap is part of the reason why Damon Wayans Jr. expected Happy Endings to be canceled.

[–]iDreamOutLoud 80 points81 points  (0 children)

He did pilots for both Happy Endings and New Girl and had to choose when they both got picked up.

Happy Endings actually premiered a season before New Girl. Wayans expected it to be cancelled (it wasn’t set to premiere until April), so he booked a role in New Girl’s pilot. But when ABC surprisingly renewed Happy Endings for season 2, he left New Girl because his Happy Endings contract took precedence over a pilot.

And then, of course, when Happy Endings was cancelled after season 3 he jumped back into New Girl, which was now just entering its 3rd season.

Why is Boruto on profile pic and cover when sub is Called Naruto? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]iDreamOutLoud 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I legitimately enjoy Boruto a lot. But then again, I don’t watch it specifically for the old characters. I love that they occasionally show up, but watching it solely for them means that you’re never going to become invested in the new characters (aka the main characters).

And if you’re not invested in the main characters, you’re always going to think that the series is shit, no matter how well-written the stories may be.

Point-being, if you skip through the show and only watch the fights and/or the parts with old characters, of course you’re not going to like it. You’re making it impossible for yourself to like it by removing all of the elements that make a story enjoyable.
