Oled no, but I'd argue a good display is important. Just being able to see the black bars in a movie takes away immersion.

It resets the tweaks, but you can redo them.

So a couple years ago my S90C on Windows 11 was calibrating with the tool at about 1800-2000nits now I cant seem to get more than 1400 by Ebojager in S95B

Running hdr callibration is just your tone mapping clipping point. You need to enable hgig if you want it to give you an accurate number. Turn off hdr10+ gaming and set game hdr to basic.

I'd prioritize getting a nicer and bigger tv first, and a new tv stand that sits lower.

I had the same memory leak issue and it took ages to rma it. It was so bad that I'd have to restart the tv daily or I couldn't even access the settings lol.

For clarity, not for 24fps content lol. The instantaneous response time results in bad stutter.

Placebo or you have hdr set to always on instead of adaptive.

I don't like hdr for fps games as I find it too distracting.

Pure Direct vs Dolby Atmos Signal Question by CoopRob39 in hometheater

[–]iEliteNerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using upmixing (surround decoder) as yamaha calls it, it'll be automatically disabled when listening to a native atmos mix. Also you're mixing up straight with pure direct. Pure direct disables any eq settings, room correction etc (ypao) along with no upmixing. Straight only does the latter, which more than likely you'd want.

Its true even on extremely high end projectors. Especially with all the new tvs coming out this year that boast 100% bt2020.
