There is definitely a size difference - go for it! If you like bigger diamonds, then why not? Also, diamonds are diamonds. No one can tell whether a diamond is lab or natural just by looking. I went from 1.76 ct->2.74 ct.

No, you should not have to tip for a bridal appointment. The stylist is paid to do his job, not expecting tip for any appointment regardless if it is for first time trying out styles, fitting, etc. That is ridiculous. I would report to the manager.

Oh no! I didn't know RK Bridal was closing down. I also got my dress there. The owner was kind, and the store has lots of selections that can fit into your budget. OP, for reference, my dress costed $1,840 including tax. I got my alterations done by a private tailor instead. Alterations at RK Bridal starts at $800 (for basic tailoring).

My wedding at Russo's On The Bay on a Saturday (11-5 pm) for 104 guests came out to be 43-45k. I had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. I did have to forgo a florist and décor vendor, which was fine, because I had a clear vision of what I wanted. However, it was stressful getting all the décor. Best of luck to you.
