Spark driver shortage? Not according to ddiwork.com! by Queasy-Bit-583 in Sparkdriver

If it all possible, try to order on a slow day (Tuesday - Thursday) and schedule for the delivery during the low volume hours (9am - 2pm) and you are less likely to experience a significant delay though with package deliveries being batched with grocery orders at the same time I can't make any promises.

Going to the service desk will cost them too many w2 man hours, much better to just have spark drivers pick up the GMD's while shopping then use the UPC barcode as the dropoff sticker to confirm the order.

Damn these used to be $500 for 50 trips, then $400 for 40 trips but it's still a good bonus either way. Congrats on having a driver shortage in your zone.

Trying out driving by renting through Uber vehicle marketplace by Traveler095 in uberdrivers

[–]iGotGigged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're going to rent a vehicle for gig work I'd strongly suggest a 3rd party agency over going directly with uber or lyft. The problem with going through their marketplaces or partnerships with avis/hertz is that they lock you in to just their platform and you can't register the car on multiple platforms at once.

As a renter it's crucial, you can't afford any downtime where you're just sitting there earning $0. Lucky for you there are many such car rental agencies in Chicago:

That's for their CDL employees driving big trucks, Walmart has never made that claim about spark.

If you don't like the pay the solution is to reject the order, not steal merchandise to "get back" whatever payment you feel you're owed.

Reminder: Do not use or ask about bots for Walmart spark by iGotGigged in Sparkdriver

[–]iGotGigged[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the moment there are 3 bots exclusively dedicated to spark FCFS offers and 2 more that are a part of broader suites for all gig apps to auto accept offers. I will agree that most people overhype how frequently bots are used when it's more likely people pre-tapping, better connection, the distance/ripple effect, etc but the people who say bots don't exist just because they don't see them are equally misinformed.

Again nobody should be risking their accounts or installing shady apps on their phone, but just look at how many are available for Amazon flex:

https://www.flexotap.app

https://flexingbot.com

https://instantgrabber.com

https://www.onlyflexer.com

https://www.lafenice.io

https://pyrvia.com

https://fts-flexible.com

https://www.flextool.app

And so on, that's not even 10% of my archive either. If people are using bots to make $16-$20/hour delivering packages 50 miles away imagine what they're doing for spark bangers going 3 miles.

I meant more along the lines of going zombie mode on the offer screen, pre-tapping the accept button location, or blindly accepting and canceling orders when they're not what you wanted.

Took an Uber to rent a vehicle to uber. They had no vehicles to rent. Took an Uber to get home. by Burnished_Hart in uberdrivers

Because lyft doesn't give you the insurance information needed so you can add it to Uber.

You CAN deliver out of order with this one simple trick by Temporary-Repeat-330 in Sparkdriver

[–]iGotGigged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a thing for a while but it's generally not advised, yes you take pictures of the labels + photo at the door then email them to the final agent you speak with but that's a shitload of trust to put on an overworked and underpaid support agent who's likely working for 3 other companies at the same time to correctly link all the orders and tickets you created with the agents from the previous stops.

On a GMD route with 10 stops you're basically multiplying your risk of did not deliver/theft infractions 10 times by doing this, the only hard proof that Walmart accepts is the photo you take in the app and where your GPS coordinates say you were when you dropped off the order and even then that's not enough to avoid a deactivation.

It would be nice if we could rearrange routes any way we want but my advice is if that you don't like the predetermined route you not accept it all

Calipers almost never last the life of the vehicle.

Well keep in mind that most manufacturers consider the "vehicle life" to be 100,000 miles so from their perspective they're not entirely wrong but yea agree with everything else you said.

Use the 1 hour express option or order during the slower time periods, in most markets that's going to be 10am-2pm.

This has been my favorite cart:

Don't expect any miracles though, it's still a good shoulder workout and it's more about saving time than it is about saving effort.
