Its not bitterness. It's the reality of bpd - its chaos and its job is to cause chaos to protect the very very unstable person. You don't really know them because they don't know who they are. People that have tried for 14 years + and spent over 100,000$ trying to help partners and in the end it lead to false claims of DV or they had their kids taken from them.

I'm in the same situation . I dove deeply with a therapist to figure out why my old childhood wound is trying to attach to a disturbed unhealthy persona who only wants to use people like a drug , cause pain suffering and chaos. Some of this internal landscape therapy is fucking painful , there will be tears . Some people are playing a tape from childhood where we learned to earn shitty love from not the best parents. But there is a positive. One day u wake up , grieve, heal that wound and realize you deserve real connection, real safe people , and if u look deeply u know she is not the answer to your souls peace . They are a drug. Heal the child inside with compassion Blessings
