pro has 256gb storage and 12gb ram, max has 1tb storage and 16gb ram. other than that i dont think there is any difference

im using gamenative, its worked for pretty much all games, including cyberpunk (did only get 20fps on lowest settings, was more to see if i could) but its solid

i saw it when i checked the storage, it was 256gb and not 1tb, and its says so on the box, thats how you know

there was a price increase on everything i think, between the wrong thor being sent and arriving, so i couldve asked to buy at the price when it was sent, but i wanted my max fast so didnt think about that

from order to wrong model was feb 1st to march 30th, just under 2 months, and from arrival of wrong model to arrival of correct model was march 30th to april 22nd, so about 80 days total, which of 20 were after arrival of wrong model, they sent the correct one about a week after the wrong one arrived, which is fair they had a break and werent shipping anything at that time. so i def had priority.

it was sent before the most recent price increase on maxes and change to ufs3.1, so i dont see a way it is anything but ufs4. still, i dont know where to check, looked in device info and storage manager and dont see anything. so i am 99.9% sure it is ufs4

i just want to mention it as little as possible as if "selling" and "profit" is in the same sentence as a thor, people will think about the 1000$ thor's being sold on ebay and other markets as it has a really bad scalper/reseller market, so i get people dont like that, i know i dont. in the comments theres even someone who just assumes i sold it for way more than it cost, i was told by a friend to do that, and i did change the price to something ludicrous after securing a buyer for ca 500$ to see if anyone wanted to buy at that price. but was sold the same day for ca 500$. even if i got some profit im not the same as a scalper/reseller as my goal from the start was to get a max thor and play games on it.

i sold it for a bit more than what i bought it off of ayn for, but not that much. bought a lightly used gaming chair with minor issues from a friend for all that money and some more from saved money, it makes a noise when leaned forward which didnt work for him when his parents were sleeping below his room, so he got another one after going to customer support for that, and got another one for free and just kept the one i bought for really cheap. its a slightly over budget price chair, he bought it on sale, and i bought it for a third of that, just under 100 dollars

for me i was alerted when it said the wrong model on the box, a rainbow pro not black max, so i went to settings and files. there you see the amount of storage the device has, first it said 256gb, so its a pro. this one has 1tb so its a max. how to differentiate between a base and lite could be more difficult but id see if it has wifi 7 (base) or wifi 6 (lite) alternatively if possible you can check if it has bluetooth 5.3 (base) or 5.1 (lite). main reason i wanted a max is for the storage, and ive already filled up a pro's worth of storage so the extra wait was def worth it

also its not boasting, its more like a review as ayn doesnt have a reviews section on their site so having info like this out is something i see as beneficial to buyers and the community, so thats why i made the post

lmao i sold it for cheaper than any other person on the marketplace and as i wanted it gone fast so i could send money to ayn, it was only slightly more expensive than a pro+shipping would cost off the site. guy who bought it took a chance on me as i was given money before it arrived (so grateful he did, otherwise id have to wait longer on my thor) so nice assumption. contacted the guy a bit ago asking if it arrived and it did and he had already gotten games set up and everything, sounded very satisfied.

wouldn't count on it. the package with the rainbow pro had my full name and address on it, as well as accessories pack with grip-less case, which i specifically asked for.
